Book Description
When I think of the glass of water that I draw from the ocean, I realize how often I have overstated the contents of this glass. It is a small, limited section of an immeasurable whole. In my daily thoughts, worries and experiences, I have clung to this glass as if it were the only measure of my life. But while I focus on the water – on my family, my job, my friendships – I unconsciously block out the infinite depth of the ocean. I have lost myself in the illusion of reality, with a limited understanding of what is real. This glass of water seems so important to me that I often forget that behind it lies an expansive world that I can only guess at. I pay attention to what is in my glass and forget that I am part of a much larger structure. I experience moments when I lose myself in thought and question my reality. But it is these painful insights that show me that I can be much more than just what I fantasize in my glass. The urge to lift the glass and look at it has often made me linger, while the water in it lives and flows, but I haven't thought enough about what lies outside of it. The glass is like a prison that confines me to a place where I feel safe, but far from true existence. When I reflect on how the glass shapes my perspective, I become aware of the abundance of all that I do not recognize. The questions that rumble deep within me are often uncomfortable. I have learned to ignore them often, to banish them from my mind like unwanted guests. But the more I try to push them away, the louder they get. Ultimately, I decided to face these questions and welcome them like trusted friends who want to show me the way to a greater reality. By acknowledging the flood of these thoughts, I can begin to look at the water in the glass in a new way and realize that the ocean is still there – untouched and always ready to be discovered.

Remote Viewing
Author: Courtney Brown
Publisher: Farsight, Inc.
ISBN: 9780976676201
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 354
Book Description
Remote viewing is the mental ability to perceive and describe places, persons, or events at distant locations in the past, present, and future. This book describes the science and theory of the remote-viewing phenomenon. The reality of the remote-viewing phenomenon is not in dispute among a large body of respected researchers ¿ both inside and outside of academia ¿ who have published an extensive collection of high-quality investigations over the past few decades. But profound mysteries remain. This volume breaks new ground by resolving some of remote-viewing¿s greatest enigmas. In these pages, new research and new theories explain why remote viewing works, and why it is scientifically possible. These investigations utilize remote-viewing methods that are derivative of those used for decades in well-documented U.S. government funded psi research sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A.) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (D.I.A.). Filled with descriptions and analyses of highly original experiments, here is an investigation into the fascinating characteristics of time and physical reality using remote viewing as a tool of exploration, offering evidence that the past, present, and future truly exist simultaneously. The idea of differing future and past time lines is not just science fiction.

A Sorcerer's Apprentice
Author: John Herlosky
Publisher: Trine Day
ISBN: 1634240014
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 302
Book Description
Follow the fascinating story of one man's journey into the realm of the fantastic: the CIA-sponsored psychic spies with the ability to extend their consciousness to accurately describe targets not only half a world away but to look into the future as well. It all sounded like science fiction to John Herlosky after reading an expose by former member of the CIA's Project Stargate, Dr. David Morehouse. Two years later, skeptical but intrigued by the possibilities implied, John entered the classroom of Dr. Morehouse to find out the truth—and never looked back. Sorcerer's Apprentice is an autobiographical account of the author's experience learning the CIA-sponsored scientifically validated form of extrasensory perception called "remote viewing." The book chronicles the author's journey from interested skeptic to operational remote viewer working his first mission as well as his former life as a police officer and private military contractor. He takes you on a journey from the crushing depths and pathos of the wreck of the Titanic to the fate of a downed pilot missing for 19 years from the first Gulf War. Witness the personal turmoil as the author's long-held beliefs clash with the powerful implications of his experiences.

The Seventh Sense
Author: Lyn Buchanan
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
ISBN: 1439187800
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 452
Book Description
For the past thirty years, the United States government has secretly trained a select corps of military personnel in the art of "remote viewing" -- the psychic ability to perceive the thoughts and experiences of others through the power of the human mind.... Now, for the first time, Lyn Buchanan -- a world-renowned expert on remote viewing and its potential -- tells the complete, candid story of his experiences. Assigned for nearly a decade to a clandestine U.S. Army intelligence group, Buchanan trained military personnel who utilized their inherent psychic abilities as a data-collection tool during the Iran hostage crisis, the Chernobyl disaster, and the Gulf War. In this incredible account, Buchanan tells how he was selected for his unique psychic abilities, and how he was transformed from an ordinary soldier into one of our nation's leading psychic spies. Working on top-secret government and military projects using "mental espionage" created permanent, life-altering changes within Buchanan. Now, after many years of analysis and interpretation, he reveals the techniques and mental exercises used to train remote viewers, and demonstrates that each of us carries a dormant psychic ability that we can explore and use ourselves. For anyone interested in a hard, scientific look at the reality of psychic covert operations in the world today, or anyone who has ever wondered if he or she could have the inherent skills to become a remote viewer, this fascinating chronicle of life as a psychic spy will reveal the answers.

Penetration
Author: Ingo Swann
Publisher: Swann-Ryder Productions, LLC
ISBN: 1949214141
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 188
Book Description
Ingo Swann -- renowned psi researcher -- reveals a long-held secret series of experiences with a "deep black" agency whose apparent charter was simple: UFOs and extraterrestrials on the moon and worries about ET telepathic/mind control powers. The agency was so secret that it had no paper trail, and hence no written secrecy agreements. Only the verbal ones, which in Ingo's case expired several years ago. Now, in this era of burgeoning UFO "glasnost," he tells a story of meetings held in a secret underground facility not far from Washington DC, and of being taken to a remote location near the Arctic Circle to witness the expected arrival of a huge UFO over the surface of an Alaskan lake. This book discusses undeveloped human telepathy and contrasts it with the probable existence of fully developed alien telepathy, which may have many different forms. Ingo also explores the fact that we officially know far more than we're admitting about the Moon -- its origins, its atmosphere, its occupants and many other unusual features. Penetration is about one of the means by which we can learn more about those not of this earth (and vice-versa) -- telepathy. Do we have the means to answer some very important questions that many have been asking for quite a long time? Inside this book are the answers to some.

Endless Novelties of Extraordinary Interest
Author: Doug Macdougall
Publisher: Yale University Press
ISBN: 030024908X
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 282
Book Description
A gripping tale of exploration aboard H.M.S. Challenger, an expedition that laid the foundations for modern oceanography From late 1872 to 1876, H.M.S. Challenger explored the world’s oceans. Conducting deep sea soundings, dredging the ocean floor, recording temperatures, observing weather, and collecting biological samples, the expedition laid the foundations for modern oceanography. Following the ship’s naturalists and their discoveries, earth scientist Doug Macdougall engagingly tells a story of Victorian-era adventure and ties these early explorations to the growth of modern scientific fields. In this lively story of discovery, hardship, and humor, Macdougall examines the work of the expedition’s scientists, especially the naturalist Henry Moseley, who rigorously categorized the flora and fauna of the islands the ship visited, and the legacy of John Murray, considered the father of modern oceanography. Macdougall explores not just the expedition itself but also the iconic place that H.M.S. Challenger has achieved in the annals of ocean exploration and science.
