Book Description
Excerpt from The Universalist's Miscellany, or Philanthropist's Museum, Vol. 2: Intended Chiefly as an Antidote Against the Antichristian Doctrine of Endless Misery As an)individual, I confefs I am fo far from thinking Paul was ignorant, or guilty of deception, that on the contrary, 1 account him a chofen vefl'el, an able minifier, an excellent orator, an infallible guide, and an exact logicizan from which, and taking into oonfrderafion from whom he received his knowledge, not from tradition, not from man, but from Jefus Ghfifi (gal. I. T.) I do not for a moment imagine he did not mean allthings, when he nfed the wordsall Things in this place. Alfo, he having in another lace, made an ex caption to the univerfal fubjeélion of as things, co-equali with that exception I before noticed, he has for ever put it out of my power to extend the exceptions He (the Fag titer) hath put all things under his (son's) feet but we fee not yet, all things put under him; but when he faith, all things are pht under him, it is manifell that He, (the Father) is cacqted, that did put all things under him. After Paul M all things were created by 'chtifi, and enumerated what he included in'tire all things, he feals the very thing he exprelfed, by a redundancy of expmflion: fayin all things were created byhim, and alfo roe am. So li wife with t'efpeét to the reconciling all things, he ufed the dancy of language to thew, and which evidently doth ibew, all things will be reconciled, by adding, Ifay, wbetlaer they Be thing: in earth or flying: in heaven. Book Description
Growth of interest in the periodical literature of the past has emphasized increasingly the need for specialized hand lists, a need which the American Union List of Serials, the British Union Catalogue of the Periodical Publications in the University Libraries of the British Isles, and other existing indexes cannot answer. To satisfy one area of this need, William S. Ward has compiled a near-definitive index and finding list of periodicals and newspapers of the English Romantic period. In it are reflected the holdings of almost eleven hundred American, Canadian, and British libraries and newspaper offices. The volume is also the first to list titles and library locations of all the newspapers, magazines, and other serials published in the British Isles during the years between the French Revolution and the Great Reform Bill.
