Book Description
This work by Aquinas begins by discussing different types of political systems, using the classical classifications. Only rule which is directed "towards the common good of the multitude is fit to be called kingship," he argues. Rule by one man who "seeks his own benefit from his rule and not the good of the multitude subject to him" is called a "tyrant." He argues that "Just as the government of a king is the best, so the government of a tyrant is the worst," maintaining that rule by a single individual is the most efficient for accomplishing either good or evil purposes. He then proceeds to discuss "how provision might be made that the king may not fall into tyranny," stressing education and noting that "government of the kingdom must be so arranged that opportunity to tyrannize is removed." He then proceeds to consider what honor is due to kings, to discuss the appropriate qualities of a king, and to make some points on founding and maintaining a city. Principium autem intentionis nostrae hinc sumere oportet, ut quid nomine regis intelligendum sit, exponatur.

Book Description
Cindill was a peaceful world. Made by a group of gods, it was a place where men and mythical creatures alike enjoyed prosperity under the gods who created it. They ruled this land with the intension of handing it over to two humans who would earn immortality and rule for centuries. One of the gods, however, was corrupted by pride and vanity. He decided to take Cindill for his own. Betraying his fellow gods, he took over and brought forth evil. The only other two gods left then set in motion the rise of the brothers. Join Florida man, Ben Mole, and his brother, the Alaskan frontiersman, Fredrick Mole, as they fight for a throne, immortality, and the freedom of the people of Cindill. Joining them are the gods, Dingle and Zilidith, the immortal of the wood, Melcondria, the Hillman, Dindice, the traitor hoofgoofers, Gilfi and Bilfi, and the dragons, Drapyro and Drafrio. Together they shall lead an army against a prideful and powerful god to restore justice to a once peaceful and prosperous land.

Book Description
Wisdom for Kings, Rulers, Leaders and Ordinary Folk speaks to the love motif of God for His people. The writing in the Book of Proverbs peregrinates through the books of the Old Testament and back into the New Testament as the Holy Spirit reveals the sincerity, depth and integrity of Scripture. The decision to use the Reflections to talk about the grace, mercy and love of Christ Jesus as seen in the Book of Proverbs was the right decision. Like the compendium of contributors to the Book of Proverbs, Jesus used everyday situations to talk about the spiritual hope available to all humanity. Many of the teachings of Jesus, originally found in the Book of Proverbs, point to the wisdom of God throughout the Holy Bible. Every word in the New Testament points to God, as the penultimate source of wisdom. Book Description
This volume is part of the first complete translation (in nine volumes) of the Shih chi (The Grand Scribe's Records), one of the most important narratives in traditional China. Compiled by Ssu-ma Ch'ien (145-c. 86 B.C.), it draws upon most major early historical works and was the foremost model for style and genre in Chinese history and literature through the eleventh century A. D., and through the early twentieth century for some genres. Volume 7, The Memoirs of Pre_Han China, translates twenty-eight Lieh-chuan or "memoirs" which depict more than a hundred men and women: sages and scholars, recluses and rhetoricians, persuaders and politicians, commandants and cutthroats of the Ch'in and earlier dynasties. Although the memoirs also begin with what is now often considered myth—an account of the renowned recluses Po Yi and Shu Ch'i—the emphasis in these texts is on the fate of various states and power centers as seen through the biographies of key individuals from the seventh to the third centuries B. C.
