Book Description
The Revelation of Your Words, a collection of essays, treats the role of the seminary professor of sacred Scripture within the context of the New Evangelization. Some of the essays concern principally the imparting of knowledge and best practices to accomplish this; others concern the fostering of delight in the sacred page and spiritual encounter with God. Although these essays are Catholic, written within a Catholic theological framework and with Catholic seminaries in mind, many of their conclusions can be applied to non-Catholic environments. This book provides insights that, even beyond the seminary, will benefit teachers of the Bible, regardless of their denomination and level of instruction.Readers will encounter the following authors and topics. Peter S. Williamson writes on the implications of the New Evangelization for priestly ministry and for teaching Scripture. Steven C. Smith makes a contribution concerning the role of the seminary professor of sacred Scripture in forming priests. Michael Magee treats the relevance of Johannine irony to the New Evangelization. Stephen Ryan's chapter takes up the topic of Old Testament Wisdom literature and formation for a New Evangelization. Juana L. Manzo seeks a path to integrate modern and ancient interpretations of difficult texts into the seminary classroom. Kelly Anderson takes up the father of Proverbs 1-9 as a model of spiritual fatherhood for seminary professors. Scott Carl proposes a spiritual reading of sacred Scripture in the twenty-first century. Michael Magee, in his second contribution, writes on the joy of discovery in the Fourth Gospel. James Keating reflects upon the exegete as seminary formator. Finally, André Villeneuve advocates for the teaching of Biblical Hebrew in Catholic seminaries and academic institutions.

Book Description
To whomever may read this book: I started a study of Revelation several years ago. The reason for starting this study was to try and understand the last book of the Bible. So many had told me that Revelation was full of mysteries and difficult to understand. I searched for something that would guide me, make me think about each verse and how each passage applies to my life now and how it could in the future. My great uncle had written a book many years ago that had been passed down through my family to me. I used his book as my guide for my quest. But, as I got into the study I began writing down additional verses, thoughts and life applications. Also, trying to relate to what we know as everyday life today to what must of seemed so foreign to John. All that said this book was put together with much prayer and godly guidance to provide assistance in studying Revelation. I hope it will help someone not only understand Revelation, but prompt thoughts and discussions. Most of all I hope this book might inspire to spread the gospel before it is too late and possibly help someone find their way to Christ.

Book Description
To many people, the book of the Revelation is a mystery -- they're not sure what it teaches. Much of this confusion is caused by Bible teachers who step beyond the boundaries of Scripture and try to speculate about what will happen in the future -- which can lead to opinions and guesses that are seriously amiss. When it comes to the last days, how can we know for sure what the Bible says? By letting Scripture speak for itself, and by carefully separating the facts from the possibilities. That's what author David Levy does in his authoritative new commentary on Revelation, titled Revelation: Hearing the Last Word. You'll discover a surprisingly clear picture of what we can expect in the last days and find answers to key questions such as... -- How can we know if the end times are near? -- What can we know about the Antichrist? -- In what order will the events of the last days take place? -- What will happen to Israel during the Tribulation? -- What will life be like during the Millennial Kingdom? A valuable resource that describes what we can expect as we approach earth's final hour!

This document's purpose is to spell out the Church's understanding of the nature of revelation--the process whereby God communicates with human beings. It touches upon questions about Scripture, tradition, and the teaching authority of the Church. The major concern of the document is to proclaim a Catholic understanding of the Bible as the "word of God." Key elements include: Trinitarian structure, roles of apostles and bishops, and biblical reading in a historical context.
