To place the building in a condition to be occupied, and to give the requisite fire-proof accommodation and an auditorium; at least more is needed. Neither the Council nor the Building Committee can be expected to importune the public for this sum. It should be furnished by voluntary subscriptions, and, as the subscriptions already made have come from less than one-half of the members, it is earnestly hoped that all interested will now render what assistance may be convenient to them.
