Book Description
Why are the planetary rulers in Vimshottari Dasha sequenced the way they are? This is one of the many questions that I have pondered in my studies of Vedic Astrology. In my search for an answer one thing became abundantly clear, there is not much on the subject. There are only a handful of authors whose material I have had the fortune to obtain who have attempted to address this question. In other works where this question is raised, the overall consensus is that the reason behind the order of planetary rulers in Vimshottari Dasha is a mystery that has yet to be solved. With not being able to find a suitable answer in any of the already published material, I stumbled upon a subject called Vortex-Based Mathematics in the summer of 2009, where I was now able to see a possible explanation for why the order of planets in Vimshottari Dasha follows the sequence that it does. So I decided in December 2009 to attempt to put in writing the connection I saw with Vimshottari and what is called Vortex-Based Mathematics. I had completed a manuscript in September 2011, but did not think I had enough material to publish a book. After coming across the manuscript and the work I had already done in late January 2015, I decided that it would be well worth it to proceed with publishing the material I had put together. It is my sincere hope that this will help to shed some light on unraveling the mystery behind the order of planets in Vimshottari Dasha.

Book Description
There are three important things for an event to take place in a native’s life - promise, transit and Dasa. For instance, if your 7th house and the lord are positive and natal Jupiter and Venus are also placed well, your chart has a strong “promise” of marriage but for it to take place, “transit” Jupiter and Saturn should be influencing marriage related houses or lord (2nd, 7th, 11th). Another major aspect for event occurrence is “Dasa”. In Vedic Astrology, different planets influence us at different points of time in our life. The perceived life span of an individual is counted as 120 years in total. Each planet is assigned certain number of years in one’s life. Our life is divided into Mahadasa of 9 planets and each Mahadasa is then further divided into 9 Antardasas each. The Mahadasas follow in the following sequence - Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury. Mahadasa begins from the lord of the Nakshatra where is Moon positioned at the time of birth. The exact duration of the first Mahadasa depends upon the degree of the Nakshatra when you were born. Ketu Mahadasa runs for 7 years, Venus has 20 years, Sun has 6 years, moon has 10 years, Mars has 7 years, Rahu has 18 years, Jupiter has 16 years, Saturn has 19 years, and Mercury has 17 years. Mahadasa is like a calendar of your life’s events. Whether the Mahadasa is auspicious or inauspicious for you depends upon several factors like position of that planet in your birth chart, whether it’s malefic or benefic. This duration of planets gives direction to the events in your life. Mahadasa of each planet runs for several years but this doesn’t mean that you get the results associated with a single planet only. The actual results depend upon Antadasa. Mahadasa of each planet is further divided into 9 planets Antardasas following the same sequence of planets. The events of your life are based on both - the Mahadasa and the Antardasa planets. For example, if you have Rahu Antardasa under Rahu Mahadasa, events would follow as per Rahu’s characteristics and strength in your horoscope. However, if you have Jupiter under Rahu, then the results would be based on the position of both Jupiter as well as Rahu. If the planets are positioned on 2 – 12, 6 – 8 or 5 – 9 axis, repercussions might not be that positive for the native. The lordship of planets is also considered in the process. If both planets are lords of Kendra or Trikone houses, the results would be like that of a Raj Yoga. If one has Kendra or Trikone lordship, and the second planet is lord of 6th, 8th or 12th house, then the results might not be favorable.

Book Description
Prediction through Dasha System is the chief objective of Predictive Astrology. Maharshi Parashar has mentioned 43 types of Dashas in his "Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra". Here in this book the Vimshottari Dasha has been mentioned elaborately in particular, which is used extensively. Besides, the Ashtottari and Yogini Dashas have also been narrated briefly. Vimshottari Dasha system is based on constellation. This system is used throughout India and recognized by all. It is based on the lordship of planet. The native can have result according to the house of which the planet is the lord. So, it is essential to know the Karakatva of the house and the merit of the lord of it. The book has been composed keeping in view the problems of the students of All India Federation of Astrologers' Societies on the inspiration of Mr. Arun Kumar Bansal. This book explains the method of prediction on the basis of Dasha in any easy to understand manner. A learned astrologer has to make study of the three different parts of a horoscope - 1. Yoga, the combination of planets and Lords, 2. Period-sub-period i.e. dasha, 3. Gochar that is, transit. All the three parts are the supplements of each other. Yoga is most important among all the three parts. Period-sub-period i.e. dasha may prove to be futile if there is no Yoga in a horoscope. For example, Period-sub-period that of Lord of fifth house or of Karaka planet cannot bless a native with a child if there is no Santan Yoga in his horoscope. Likewise, Gochar too cannot do anything if there is no Yoga in a horoscope. So, all the three parts are essential to have the result.

Book Description
This book has many uses. In itself it is a meditation. You can enjoy and benefit without any special prior knowledge. There are insights into astrology but the main focus is enlightening the consciousness and providing a rebalancing of the energies represented by the planets. This will happen automatically as one reads through the mantras and their commentaries. There are 108 names expressed as mantras for each of the nine planets used in Vedic Astrology. These mantras activate the positive values of the planet throughout the Zodiac. For the first time ever, the mantras are listed with translation and commentary. Even if you only read the commentaries, you will get some of the benefit. If the planet is weak or afflicted, then this acts as a remedy. If it already strong, this helps to enliven its full potential. Easy techniques are also given that will allow you to find out which of the mantras will especially enliven your personal chart and, hence, have the greatest benefit for you. There is also a bonus section at the end which, for the first time, explains the sequence and lengths of the famous Vimshottari Dasha and gives new insights into how to interpret them. This system of prediction is so remarkable that even Western Astrologers often use it.

Book Description
Astrological analysis has two components. The first is the deduction of likely trends in the life of a native. This determines the basic promise of a horoscope. The second, and more important, is to determine the time when the relevant events, according to the promise, would happen. The first part requires astrological knowledge & calculations etc; while for the second part great perception, synthesis, intuition and divine help are required. Astrology is basically the art & science of deciphering the characteristics & impulses gathered by various planets by their position/ movement and their synthesis. It is the basic characteristics of planets as modified by various impulses/ vibrations which they receive and then imparts on the native. Essentially one has to understand planets- their relationship with houses, signs & Nakshatra and their roles as lords of sign/ houses, Nakshatra or its subdivisions, as dasha lords or their day to day transit with respect to their natal position or standard specific points like natal Moon, natal ascendant or dasha lords. This not only helps in understanding the basic promises, but the timing of their fructification as well.

Book Description
Dasa gives a system whereby we see the results which impact the native in a time period. Each Dasha is controlled by one planet. It is the disposition and relationship of this planet, that the promised events are reflected. The results which a planet promises in its Dasa has to be studied by a careful analysis of the planet. The Vimshottari Dasha is a 120 year cycle of planetary position based on the position of Moon in one of the lunar mansions called Nakshatras. We have started the book explaining various Dasas. The first basic principles have been explained at length. In the next part we go in details, discussing the strength of the planet depending upon position of planets, lordship and various rules that modify the strength. Each Dasa and its predictive aspect are explained in details. It takes into consideration the sign in which the planet is posited. It also explains the effect of directional strength, state of the planet and the divisional strength. This will enable the reader to make an overall assessment of the planet whose Dasa is being analyzed for a native. The next part dwells with the rules that have to be followed while taking the impact of Sub Period in the major period (Dasa) of the planet. We have in details discussed factors that strengthen or weaken the result which is promised. Further the impact of other vectors, like the transit and strength have been explained.
