Book Description
Mouse In The Manger is a children's picture book - the Christmas story told in rhyme by Micah the mouse, who was hiding in the manger. Micah shares in rhyme what he saw and heard from the donkey, shepherds, and camel, after he accidentally becomes a secret observer of the birth of Christ. Observations made by the animals bring a new perspective to the real event written about in the Bible. The magic of rhythm and the sound of rhyming words capture the imagination, and delight children and adults alike. The book is a 36 page softcover, with 14 beautiful color illustrations by Ashley Otis that bring to life the characters in Christmas story. Questions and answers are added in a study guide for comprehension and Biblical insights, so parents and teachers can adapt to different age levels and add Biblical elaboration to the pleasure of the Christmas story.

Book Description
The thirteenth-century poet who used the pseudonym Der Stricker ("The Knitter) is the earliest known composer of fables, sermonettes, and parables - examples of Kleindichtung -in the German language. Some of the Stricker's fables and parables are, as far as is known, original with him, others are new variants of works that had appeared in other lands and languages. The sermonettes are typical examples of what might be called the folk-theology of the day, drawing on oral tradition rather than directly on the Scriptures. In his verse-tales, the author proves to be a keen, often harsh social critic providing a realistic, often cynical, picture of medieval society that stands in sharp contrast to the romanticism of nearly all German literature of his century. This is the first collection of The Stricker's short narratives in English translation.

Book Description
Come sit by Patty Cakes in her rocking chair and let the innocence of youth weave heartwarming tales you won't soon forget. Searching for the warm fuzzy feeling of Christmas, she will lead you through a lifetime of peeking behind hidden doors, reaching deep inside her grandfather's coat pockets, and surprise you with what she finds buried deep in a green glass bottle. Stories arrive wrapped in Christmas paper, slipped inside a brown paper sack taped shut on the end, sometimes coated in shiny glitter, and once, hiding atop a tin-lid frame holding a picture of Jesus.
