Hamilton McAnally was born 11 March 1818 in Tennessee and married Winifred Ann Simmons 6 February 1842 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee. By 1850, they moved to Franklin Co., Alabama and prior to 1860 again moved to Marshfield, Webster Co., Missouri. Hamilton died in Missouri and was the father of five known children. Descendants lived primarily in Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.
