Excerpt from The Training of Children in the Christian Family This is a book for parents which deals with princi ples rather than with problems or cases. It aims to help parents to think for themselves; and does not undertake to present ready-made formulas for the training of children or prescriptions for use in various emergencies. It is not mere theory, how ever; most of its materials lie within the author's experience as parent and as teacher. The outline of the book is that of an introductory course for the training of parents, prepared and released by the International Sunday School Lesson Committee under the title of Hints on Child Training, as one of its elective courses for adult classes in the Sunday school.
