Book Description
This book contains a multitude of challenging problems and solutions that are not commonly found in classical textbooks. One goal of the book is to present these fascinating mathematical problems in a new and engaging way and illustrate the connections between integrals, sums, and series, many of which involve zeta functions, harmonic series, polylogarithms, and various other special functions and constants. Throughout the book, the reader will find both classical and new problems, with numerous original problems and solutions coming from the personal research of the author. Where classical problems are concerned, such as those given in Olympiads or proposed by famous mathematicians like Ramanujan, the author has come up with new, surprising or unconventional ways of obtaining the desired results. The book begins with a lively foreword by renowned author Paul Nahin and is accessible to those with a good knowledge of calculus from undergraduate students to researchers, and will appeal to all mathematical puzzlers who love a good integral or series.

Book Description
The theme of this unique work, the logarithmic integral, is found throughout much of twentieth century analysis. It is a thread connecting many apparently separate parts of the subject, and so is a natural point at which to begin a serious study of real and complex analysis. The author's aim is to show how, from simple ideas, one can build up an investigation that explains and clarifies many different, seemingly unrelated problems; to show, in effect, how mathematics grows.

Book Description
Calculus is designed for the typical two- or three-semester general calculus course, incorporating innovative features to enhance student learning. The book guides students through the core concepts of calculus and helps them understand how those concepts apply to their lives and the world around them. Due to the comprehensive nature of the material, we are offering the book in three volumes for flexibility and efficiency. Volume 3 covers parametric equations and polar coordinates, vectors, functions of several variables, multiple integration, and second-order differential equations.

Book Description
The two volumes contain 65 chapters, which are based on talks presented by reputable researchers in the field at the Tenth International Conference on Integral Methods in Science and Engineering. The chapters address a wide variety of methodologies, from the construction of boundary integral methods to the application of integration-based analytic and computational techniques in almost all aspects of today's technological world. Both volumes are useful references for a broad audience of professionals, including pure and applied mathematicians, physicists, biologists, and mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, as well as graduate students, who use integration as a fundamental technique in their research.

Book Description
This book presents an extensive overview of logarithmic integral operators with kernels depending on one or several complex parameters. Solvability of corresponding boundary value problems and determination of characteristic numbers are analyzed by considering these operators as operator-value functions of appropriate complex (spectral) parameters. Therefore, the method serves as a useful addition to classical approaches. Special attention is given to the analysis of finite-meromorphic operator-valued functions, and explicit formulas for some inverse operators and characteristic numbers are developed, as well as the perturbation technique for the approximate solution of logarithmic integral equations. All essential properties of the generalized single- and double-layer potentials with logarithmic kernels and Green's potentials are considered. Fundamentals of the theory of infinite-matrix summation operators and operator-valued functions are presented, including applications to the solution of logarithmic integral equations. Many boundary value problems for the two-dimensional Helmholtz equation are discussed and explicit formulas for Green's function of canonical domains with separated logarithmic singularities are presented.

Book Description
What’s the point of calculating definite integrals since you can’t possibly do them all? What makes doing the specific integrals in this book of value aren’t the specific answers we’ll obtain, but rather the methods we’ll use in obtaining those answers; methods you can use for evaluating the integrals you will encounter in the future. This book, now in its second edition, is written in a light-hearted manner for students who have completed the first year of college or high school AP calculus and have just a bit of exposure to the concept of a differential equation. Every result is fully derived. If you are fascinated by definite integrals, then this is a book for you. New material in the second edition includes 25 new challenge problems and solutions, 25 new worked examples, simplified derivations, and additional historical discussion.
