Oin' Views coincided, but'the project was, for the following reason, abandoned - 4fully aware that a more diffuse Code of Laws, sanctioned by authority. Of the leading Clubs; was an absolute necessity, still more conscibus were we that in persuading the Whist world to adopt any innovation on old rules, we must incur a certain amount of difficulty and trouble, with a very uncertain chance of success.
