Afterwards they departed; and when they were encamp'd at Chemkour d', which is a delicious place, Idecou, fon of Coja Seifeddin Berlas, arriv'd there from Kirman; he kifs'd the imperial carpet, and made his prefents. The commiflary, whom Timur had fent into Georgia to receive the tribute impos'd on Malek Ghourghin, likewife returned to the fame place. That prince fent with him his own brother, loaded with curious prefents, among which were horfes and animals proper for the chace; he alfo fent the tribute impos'd on him. He had an audience of the emperor, by the interceffion of the great Emirs; and having offer'd his prefents, related the fubjeS of his embaffy. Hefaid that the king his brother had refolvd to continue obedient to the laws of the emperor of the MufTul-" mans; that if he had committed any fault, hefincerely repented of it, and if his highnefs wou'd pardon him, he wou'd not let one opportunity flip of rendring him hisferviop, that the wou'd faithfully pay his annual tribute, and always keep troops ready to march where his highnefs fhou'd pleafe to order 'em.
