Book Description
As we look to the Bible for all the answers we need, I discovered that there are two distinct laws, which has caused confusion to almost the whole world, throughout Christendom. These two laws are (1) the Holy Law of God and (2) the Ceremonial laws of Moses. Scriptures revealed that God gave Moses the instruction to write the Ceremonial laws that were in a book. But God wrote his Holy Law, the Ten Commandments, with his fingers on two tables of stones. Then God's Law was place inside the Ark of the Covenant. Moses' laws were on the outside, of the Ark of the Covenant, also within the Most Holy Place of the tabernacle on earth. This earthly tabernacle was a replica of the Heavenly Sanctuary. Moses laws were contained in the hand-writings of ordinances; as obtained in commandments, which consists of sabbath days, feasts days, holy days, and new moon. None of which had anything to do with the nature of God's Holy Law, that also contains God's holy Sabbath-Day, which was designed for us in the atmosphere of worship at creation. It's these ceremonial laws of Moses that did not make anything perfect. These are the same laws, which were nailed to the cross, and were abolished by Christ death on the cross. They were taken out of the way, through the recompense, of the consequence of sin. Eph. 2:15; Heb. 7:19; Col. 2:14,16; Lev. 1:1-3; Deut. 31:24-26. Not only is the Holy Law of God eternal, holy, perfect, just, and good, it will stand fast forever and ever. It is called the Royal Law. Christ did not destroy it, but provided it with magnification, of its divine purpose. God's Law will continue to give the knowledge of sin, because without it there can be no grace. Therefore, the lingering presence of sin will always be the result of transgressing God's Holy Law. James 2:8; Rom. 3:20; 7:7; Matt 5:7; Heb. 9:4; Psalms 19:7; 111:7,8. And this is the Gospel Truth of the Bible.

The Pursuing God
Author: Joshua Ryan Butler
Publisher: HarperChristian + ORM
ISBN: 0529101092
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 337
Book Description
Is God lost? Many of us feel that way. It’s as if God’s gone missing, out in the universe somewhere—and we must pick up the hunt, following any trail of breadcrumbs he may have left to go out and find him. We speak of “searching for God,” “exploring spirituality,” and “finding faith.” But what if we have it backward? What if God is the one pursuing us? What if our job is not to go out and find God, but simply to stop running and hiding? Not to earn God’s love, but to receive it? Not to turn on the light, but to step out of the shadows? Jesus reveals a God on the prowl, pursuing us, hunting down his world for reconciliation. And the question we’re left with is not whether we’ve pursued hard enough, searched long enough, or jumped high enough . . . The question is, “Do we want to be found?”

God Is the Gospel
Author: John Piper
Publisher: Crossway
ISBN: 1433518414
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 192
Book Description
God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6 This book is a cry from the heart of John Piper. He is pleading that God himself, as revealed in Christ's death and resurrection, is the ultimate and greatest gift of the gospel. None of Christ's gospel deeds and none of our gospel blessings are good news except as means of seeing and savoring the glory of Christ. Forgiveness is good news because it opens the way to the enjoyment of God himself. Justification is good news because it wins access to the presence and pleasures of God himself. Eternal life is good news because it becomes the everlasting enjoyment of Christ. All God's gifts are loving only to the degree that they lead us to God himself. That is what God's love is: his commitment to do everything necessary (most painfully the death of his only Son) to enthrall us with what is most deeply and durably satisfying-namely, himself. Saturated with Scripture, centered on the cross, and seriously joyful, this book leads us to satisfaction for the deep hungers of the soul. It touches us at the root of life where practical transformation gets its daily power. It awakens our longing for Christ and opens our eyes to his beauty. Piper writes for the soul-thirsty who have turned away empty and in desperation from the mirage of methodology. He invites us to slow down and drink from a deeper spring. "This is eternal life," Jesus said, "that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." This is what makes the gospel-and this book-good news.
