Book Description
" The Cross Trap is a re-evaluation of the events surrounding the Crucifixion to show that they were not isolated occurrences but part of a well conceived conspiracy to send the Son of God back to God as a sinner. The scriptures focus on the religious leaders' opposition to Jesus' status as an authoritative teacher; however, the underlying focus of Satan was on Jesus as the perfect sacrificial Lamb for the remission of sin. Even though the religious leaders did not understand or believe Jesus' primary role as the savior, Satan certainly had a good understanding of it. The conflicts Jesus experienced in his ministry are only the finale of the anger that had festered in the spiritual world since his birth. Death for Jesus was not enough. His sanctity as the Lamb of God had to be destroyed, thus making him an unworthy sacrifice. -Why was Jesus' death by crucifixion? -Was Judas given thirty pieces of silver for a kiss? -Why did two thieves die with Jesus? -Why was there vinegar and gall at the cross? -Why did the soldier pierce Jesus with the spear? The Cross Trap will answer these questions and explain why the Crucifixion was a formidable and almost perfect trap. "

Book Description
Of all the various subjects in the catalogue of sports and pastimes, there is none more sure of arousing the enthusiasm of our American boys generally, than that which forms the title of this book. Traps and Trapping, together with its kindred branches, always have been and always will be subjects of great interest among boys, and particularly so to those who live in the country. It is a fact to be regretted that we have so few examples of "Boys' Books" published in this country. There are a few English works of this character, that are very excellent as far as they go, but are nevertheless incomplete and unsatisfactory to the wants of American boys, dwelling largely on sports which are essentially English, and merely touching upon or utterly excluding other topics which are of the utmost interest to boys of this country. In no one of these books, so far as the author of the present volume knows, is the subject of Traps considered to any fair extent, and those examples which are given, represent only the most common and universal varieties already known to the general public.

Book Description
In 2010, the ALPHA collaboration achieved a first for mankind: the stable, long-term storage of atomic antimatter, a project carried out a the Antiproton Decelerator facility at CERN. A crucial element of this observation was a dedicated silicon vertexing detector used to identify and analyze antihydrogen annihilations. This thesis reports the methods used to reconstruct the annihilation location. Specifically, the methods used to identify and extrapolate charged particle tracks and estimate the originating annihilation location are outlined. Finally, the experimental results demonstrating the first-ever magnetic confinement of antihydrogen atoms are presented. These results rely heavily on the silicon detector, and as such, the role of the annihilation vertex reconstruction is emphasized.

Book Description
The second edition of Internal Photoemission Spectroscopy thoroughly updates this vital, practical guide to internal photoemission (IPE) phenomena and measurements. The book's discussion of fundamental physical and technical aspects of IPE spectroscopic applications is supplemented by an extended overview of recent experimental results in swiftly advancing research fields. These include the development of insulating materials for advanced SiMOS technology, metal gate materials, development of heterostructures based on high-mobility semiconductors, and more. Recent results concerning the band structure of important interfaces in novel materials are covered as well. Internal photoemission involves the physics of charge carrier photoemission from one solid to another, and different spectroscopic applications of this phenomenon to solid state heterojunctions. This technique complements conventional external photoemission spectroscopy by analyzing interfaces separated from the sample surface by a layer of a different solid or liquid. Internal photoemission provides the most straightforward, reliable information regarding the energy spectrum of electron states at interfaces. At the same time, the method enables the analysis of heterostructures relevant to modern micro- and nano-electronic devices as well as new materials involved in their design and fabrication. - First complete model description of the internal photoemission phenomena - Overview of the most reliable energy barrier determination procedures and trap characterization methods - Overview of the most recent results on band structure of high-permittivity insulating materials and their interfaces with semiconductors and metals
