But have they truly eliminated all the obstacles that kept them apart? Lisa's Desires Charming, sexy, and drop dead attractive, Lisa McGee answers to no man. She dedicates her time to the research of romance and relationships, and is determined to uncover erotic and unconventional ways of spicing up one's love life. As a woman who gets what she wants, she chases after her body's desires and all men are hers for the taking. But with a new man that she feels connected to, will Lisa finally decide to settle down or will she choose fame and fortune over love? Admirer Fascinating and seductively mysterious, the man known as the Admirer enters into the picture. From New Orleans to London and Fiji to Aruba, this intensely passionate man lurks in the shadows, waiting to satisfy his most carnal desires. His powerful charms and sensual influences will determine the fate of those around him, but are they truly ready for what the Admirer has planned for them? Revelations Dark and disturbing secrets, shocking confessions, and outrageous encounters are things that are best kept buried away. Portrayals of elegance and strength help conceal unbelievable truths of denial, betrayal, and secrecy. But what happens when they all come to light? Will they destroy those who are affected the most, or will passionate fury and true love prevail to unite those that are meant to be together?

Desire
Author: G. F. Schueler
Publisher: MIT Press
ISBN: 9780262193559
Category : Philosophy
Languages : en
Pages : 250
Book Description
Does action always arise out of desire? G.F. Schueler examines this hotly debated topic in philosophy of action and moral philosophy, arguing that once two senses of "desire" are distinguished -- roughly, genuine desires and pro attitudes -- apparently plausible explanations of action in terms of the agent's desires can be seen to be mistaken. Desire probes a fundamental issue in philosophy of mind, the nature of desires and how, if at all, they motivate and justify our actions. At least since Hume argued that reason "is and of right ought to be the slave of the passions," many philosophers have held that desires play an essential role both in practical reason and in the explanation of intentional action. G.F. Schueler looks at contemporary accounts of both roles in various belief-desire models of reasons and explanation and argues that the usual belief-desire accounts need to be replaced. Schueler contends that the plausibility of the standard belief-desire accounts rests largely on a failure to distinguish "desires proper," like a craving for sushi, from so-called "pro attitudes," which may take the form of beliefs and other cognitive states as well as desires proper. Schueler's "deliberative model" of practical reasoning suggests a different view of the place of desire in practical reason and the explanation of action. He holds that we can arrive at an intention to act by weighing the relevant considerations and that these may not include desires proper at all. A Bradford Book

It is and investigation to look at how medicine might have been understood and connected to from the origin of Taoist Non-duality as expressed in the Tao Te Ching. There are today myriad styles and approaches to energy-medicine all over the world, and even within Chinese medicine itself. This book aims to connect to the unifying principle that is inclusive not exclusive, and as such has the potential to unify all medicine. This book attempts to clarify theoretical positions but with the key realization that Classical books were only pointers to instinctual health and the nature-led healing that occurs when "self" and hierarchical egotism drop out.

Book Description
“Witness the coming together of Truman Capote’s voice, the electric-into-neon blaze that is surely one of the premier styles of postwar American literature.”—The Washington Post Book World “A great breezy read . . . with Capote’s trademark wit, but also with genuine youthful awe at the exhilaration of late-forties New York.”—New York A lost treasure only recently found, Truman Capote’s Summer Crossing is a precocious, confident first novel from one of the twentieth century’s greatest writers. Set in New York just after World War II, the story follows a young carefree socialite, Grady McNeil, whose parents leave her alone in their Fifth Avenue penthouse for the summer. Left to her own devices, Grady turns up the heat on the secret affair she’s been having with a Brooklyn-born Jewish war veteran who works as a parking lot attendant.
