The 86 Percent Solution
Author: Vijay Mahajan
Publisher: Pearson Education
ISBN: 0132782154
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 314
Book Description
Most global businesses focus nearly all their efforts on selling to the wealthiest 14% of the world's population. It's getting harder and harder to make a profit that way: these markets are oversaturated, overcompetitive, and declining. The Invisible Market shows how to unleash new growth and profitability by serving the other 86%. Vihajan Mahajan offers detailed strategies and implementation techniques for product design, pricing, packaging, distribution, advertising, and more. Discover radically different 'rules of engagement' that make emerging markets tick, and how European and Asian companies are already driving billions of dollars in sales there. Mahajan shows how to understand and manage lack of infrastructure and media, low literacy levels, and 'unconventional' consumer behavior. Learn how to redefine the 'real' competition; tap into the informal economy and unconventional channels; leverage expatriate word-of-mouth; pool demand to reach critical mass; piggyback innovations on local tradition; and price and package to reflect local realities. As traditional markets become increasingly unprofitable, emerging markets become the #1 opportunity for growth.

Rajyapath
Author: Hari Babu. E
Publisher: Notion Press
ISBN: 1647609933
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 108
Book Description
Time is the best storyteller, while every living being is a forced reader. There is suspense before anything happens and even after. Otherwise, how would an abandoned child, Dhatri, be raised by a saint, Bhasith? How did she become the wife of the great King Suryatej and give birth to the crown prince? The story “RAJYAPATH” takes the readers through the rule of a benevolent king Suryatej to the rule of a tyrant king Mahabal, who acceded as an heir successor and finally lands in to democracy. He became a dictator, and people lived in fear and oppression during his rule. Only the employees of the king lived well. Mahabal killed several kings, collected their wealth and women and annexed their kingdoms. It was his moral fall. His physical fall came through his own wife, Sulekha, with the help of his mother, Dhatri, brother, Dharmatej, and Saint Bhasith. Mahabal is then killed in a stampede, under the feet of the people who tried to stop him from throwing his sword at Sulekha. This story brings before readers the beauty of the Himalayan forests, peaks and valleys. It ends on a happy note, with Dharmatej marrying Samhitha, Sulekha’s sister, and establishing the people’s rule in the country. Sulekha humbly rejects, but Dhatri agrees to be the honorary queen of the country as her responsibility. Dharmatej is then elected as the president of the country.

Variation in South Asian Languages
Author: Pritha Chandra
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 9819911494
Category : Literary Criticism
Languages : en
Pages : 325
Book Description
The book addresses some raging questions in linguistics today: What kind of variation do typologically related languages display? Do we expect to find the same variation in genealogically unrelated languages spoken in the same area? What makes dialects different? The current book answers these questions using data from languages spoken in the Indian subcontinent—an area known for its linguistic richness and diversity. Each chapter in the book presents a wealth of data collected through extensive fieldwork or controlled experimental setups. The chapters examine macro-variation in relative clauses, word order and negation found among Austro-Asiatic, Dravidian, Indo-Aryan and Tibeto-Burman languages. It also investigates meso-level variation among related Eastern Indo-Aryan languages and intra-language and dialectal changes. It encourages scholars to probe deep into the mechanisms that underlie the immense intra- and inter-language variation in the area. It serves as a resource book for postgraduate and research scholars of linguistic typology, theoretical syntax, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics and for scholars interested in South Asian languages.

E-Commerce Strategy
Author: Sanjay Mohapatra
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1461441412
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 270
Book Description
E-Commerce Strategy: Text and Cases provides the fundamental literature required for graduate students and practitioners to understand electronic commerce. Each chapter provides clearly designed learning objectives and review questions to highlight the major topics and goals. This book covers many of the new innovations and technologies that have been established for e-commerce site development. Unlike similar books, topics such as e-channel adoption, factors affecting e-commerce adoption, and strategy design are reviewed in greater depth. Additionally, the book examines areas not normally covered like open source, online research, and peer-to-peer systems. E-Commerce Strategy: Text and Cases is divided into two parts. Part 1 examines the evolution of e-commerce, analyzes different sectors such as B2B and m-Commerce, and explores the challenges they face. Case studies of well known companies reinforce the concepts learned to demonstrate both successes and failures in the field. Part 2 deals with developing strategies in e-Commerce and looks at future trends including Web 2.0. Overall, the useful guidelines provided should prove valuable to students and researchers in the field.
