Book Description
Standards of Performance for New Stationary Sources and Emission Guidelines for Existing Sources - Large Municipal Waste Combustors (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Standards of Performance for New Stationary Sources and Emission Guidelines for Existing Sources - Large Municipal Waste Combustors (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 EPA is promulgating amendments to the air emission standards for existing and new large municipal waste combustor (MWC) units. Standards for MWC units were promulgated in 1995 and implemented in 2000. The Clean Air Act (CAA) requires review of these standards every 5 years. The review is to be conducted in accordance with CAA section 129 and section 111 requirements, with standards revised as necessary. For existing MWC units, the goal of this action is to amend the standards to reflect the actual performance levels being achieved by existing MWC units. For new MWC units, the goal of this action is to amend the standards to reflect the performance level achievable by MWC units constructed in the future. Other technical improvements are also being made to the standards for MWC units. This book contains: - The complete text of the Standards of Performance for New Stationary Sources and Emission Guidelines for Existing Sources - Large Municipal Waste Combustors (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) - A table of contents with the page number of each section

Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources - Electric Utility Generating Units (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources - Electric Utility Generating Units (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 In this action, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is establishing final emission guidelines for states to follow in developing plans to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from existing fossil fuel-fired electric generating units (EGUs). Specifically, the EPA is establishing: Carbon dioxide (CO 2) emission performance rates representing the best system of emission reduction (BSER) for two subcategories of existing fossil fuel-fired EGUs-fossil fuel-fired electric utility steam generating units and stationary combustion turbines; state-specific CO 2 goals reflecting the CO 2 emission performance rates; and guidelines for the development, submittal and implementation of state plans that establish emission standards or other measures to implement the CO 2 emission performance rates, which may be accomplished by meeting the state goals. This final rule will continue progress already underway in the U.S. to reduce CO 2 emissions from the utility power sector. Updated as of May 29, 2018 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is finalizing performance specifications and test procedures for hydrogen chloride (HCl) continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) to provide sources and regulatory agencies with criteria and test procedures for evaluating the acceptability of HCl CEMS. The final performance specification (Performance Specification 18) includes requirements for initial acceptance, including instrument accuracy and stability assessments. This action also finalizes quality assurance (QA) procedures for HCl CEMS used for compliance determination at stationary sources. The QA procedures (Procedure 6) specify the minimum QA requirements necessary for the control and assessment of the quality of CEMS data submitted to the EPA. National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Iron and Steel Foundries Area Sources (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Iron and Steel Foundries Area Sources (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 EPA is issuing national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants for two area source categories (iron foundries and steel foundries). The requirements for the two area source categories are combined in one subpart. The final rule establishes different requirements for foundries based on size. Small area source foundries are required to comply with pollution prevention management practices for metallic scrap, the removal of mercury switches, and binder formulations. Large area source foundries are required to comply with the same pollution prevention management practices as small foundries in addition to emissions standards for melting furnaces and foundry operations. The final standards reflect the generally achievable control technology and/or management practices for each subcategory.
