Book Description
The SR 527 corridor is located in King and Snohomish Counties on a meandering north/south alignment from the city of Bothell to the city of Everett. This Route Development Plan (RDP) covers the segment from milepost (MP) 0.00 (SR 522) to MP 2.69 (I-405) within the city of Bothell. An RDP analyzes all or a segment of a particular state highway. It is intended to describe and analyze the existing highway facility, the function it performs, local growth patterns, and projected traffic volumes. This leads to a determination of where improvements will be needed to accommodate safety and capacity requirements at a future date, usually 20 years hence. -- Introduction

Book Description
SR 9 is the main north-south route east of I-5 connecting SR 522 (Woodinville) in the south with the Canadian border (Sumas) in the north, and is about ninety-eight miles long. Due to the length and certain areas of intense development, the roadway has been divided into four segments. This segment of the route development plan runs from MP 0.00 (Jct. SR 522) to MP 12.25 (Jct. SR 2), a distance of 12.25 miles. Woodinville, which is likely to become a city during the life of this plan, is the closest population center to the southern terminus of this segment. The northern terminus lies within the city limits of Snohomish, currently the only incorporated area. The SR 9 roadway is currently classified as a minor arterial from SR 522 to Arlington and becomes a "collector" north of Arlington. It functions as an increasingly important north-south facility between SR 522 (Woodinville) and the Canadian border.
