Author: Abraham Messler
Publisher: Forgotten Books
ISBN: 9780365340140
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 182
Book Description
Excerpt from Centennial History of Somerset County The following sketches of The First Things in Somerset, were prepared by the late Abraham Messler, D. D. They represent many years of research and labor, and were published in one of the county papers sometime in the seventies. After their publication corrections were made by the Doctor up to the time of his death. The historical value of these sketches is considered too great to loose, and they are now published for the first time in book form, so that they can be preserved for future historians. The publisher here wishes to return thanks to A. P. Sutphen. Esq., who has rendered valuable assistance in making corrections, so as to bring the location of farms and other property up to present ownership. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy.
