Solomon Wealth Formula
Author: Kelly Cole
Publisher: Publishing for Pastors
ISBN: 9780615975825
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 94
Book Description
The Solomon Wealth Formula is a revelation The Lord gave me while I was studying for my Sunday school lesson. I wanted to share some type of inspiration with my students that would motivate them to do something different in the New Year that they had never done before. I wanted them to actually look at their lives and ask themselves, Am I really living the abundant life God said I could live? If they answered no to that question, I would ask them why not? Have you buried your talent, have you dismissed your gift God has given you? While searching my spirit and the word of God for the answer and or a solution I could share with them the Lord dropped in my spirit Solomon. The scripture that came to mind was 1 Kings 4:34 which reads "And there came of all people to hear the Wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom." The reason that scripture came to mind was, I remembered all the people that came to hear Solomon's wisdom, they didn't come empty handed they brought him a gift of some kind. Now let's relate that to today's time. The people paid Solomon to consult with them on what they needed help with or what they needed an understanding about. So I wrote down to share with my class that one of Solomon's income streams was he did consulting! So I completed my notes and thought I had my lesson together, I would just ask them what specialized knowledge they had, then enlighten them on the fact that they could charge people to consult them. Just as I was about to close my bible the Lord said read the whole chapter of 1 Kings 4. To my surprise in 1 Kings 4 the Lord showed me exactly what Solomon did to create his wealth , how he did and how I could apply it to my life. So in this book I share the revelation the Lord gave me plus I give you step by step instructions on how you can do the same! Get ready to start your new life!

Interpreting the Old Testament after Christendom
Author: Jeremy Thomson
Publisher: Wipf and Stock Publishers
ISBN: 1498245048
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 190
Book Description
How would you describe the Old Testament? Offensive, violent, patriarchal, archaic; difficult, boring, obsolete? Many Christians don't bother with it anymore. Yet these ancient books were in Jesus' lifeblood, and they provided the thought-world of those early followers who wrote about him in what became the New Testament. This book challenges those stereotypes of Israel's Scriptures by exploring their significance in the apostolic writings and by demonstrating the importance of whole books for nuanced interpretation. It takes readers on a tour through four key books before considering the wider issues of interpretation that readers must consider in order to hear God's Spirit speaking afresh to a range of contemporary concerns, including racism and the environment.

The Law of Success
Author: Napoleon Hill
Publisher: Penguin
ISBN: 1440658811
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 641
Book Description
Here is the Holy Grail of success philosophy: Napoleon Hill's complete and original formula to achievement presented in fifteen remarkable principles--now newly designed in a handsome single-volume edition. This is the master volume of the extraordinary work that began the career of Napoleon Hill. Originally produced by Hill in 1928 as an eight-book series, The Law of Success is now available to contemporary readers in a single edition, redesigned and reset for ease of reading. The Law of Success is the golden key to Hill's thought--his complete and unabridged mind-power method for achieving your goals. After interviewing dozens of industrialists, diplomats, thought leaders, and successful people from all walks of life, the young Hill distilled what he learned into these fifteen core lessons, organized with an introductory chapter, 'The Master Mind,' that serves as a primer to Hill's overall philosophy. As Hill saw it, these lessons work as a "mind stimulant" that "will cause the student to organize and direct to a DEFINITE end the forces of his or her mind, thus harnessing the stupendous power which most people waste." While future classics of Napoleon Hill would inspire millions of readers, there is no substitute for The Law of Success for everyone who wants to grasp the full range of Hill's ideas and tap their transformative power.

Fortune's Formula
Author: William Poundstone
Publisher: Hill and Wang
ISBN: 0374707081
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 399
Book Description
In 1956, two Bell Labs scientists discovered the scientific formula for getting rich. One was mathematician Claude Shannon, neurotic father of our digital age, whose genius is ranked with Einstein's. The other was John L. Kelly Jr., a Texas-born, gun-toting physicist. Together they applied the science of information theory—the basis of computers and the Internet—to the problem of making as much money as possible, as fast as possible. Shannon and MIT mathematician Edward O. Thorp took the "Kelly formula" to Las Vegas. It worked. They realized that there was even more money to be made in the stock market. Thorp used the Kelly system with his phenomenally successful hedge fund, Princeton-Newport Partners. Shannon became a successful investor, too, topping even Warren Buffett's rate of return. Fortune's Formula traces how the Kelly formula sparked controversy even as it made fortunes at racetracks, casinos, and trading desks. It reveals the dark side of this alluring scheme, which is founded on exploiting an insider's edge. Shannon believed it was possible for a smart investor to beat the market—and William Poundstone's Fortune's Formula will convince you that he was right.
