Les oceans equatoriaux jouent un role important dans le cycle du carbone car ils constituent une zone source de co2 pour l'atmosphere. L'atlantique equatorial a ete favorise pour cette etude grace a la bonne couverture des donnees geochimiques des campagnes focal et la possibilite d'utiliser un modele de circulation oceanique generale valide avec les donnees hydrologiques des campagnes focal-sequal. Un modele geochimique offline a ete developpe afin de simuler les champs de nitrates et de carbone inorganique, ainsi que l'export de carbone de la surface vers l'ocean profond, et les flux de co2 a l'interface air-mer. L'analyse des flux explique la distribution spatio-temporelle de ces deux traceurs et donne des informations nouvelles sur l'origine des nutritifs presents en surface pendant l'upwelling d'ete (importance du transport zonal). Nous discutons ensuite l'impact de ces differents flux sur le contenu en carbone inorganique de la couche de surface, puis nous analysons l'importance des signaux dynamique thermodynamique et biologiques sur la pco2 de surface et donc sur les flux de co2 a l'interface ocean-atmosphere, lesquels sont en bon accord avec les donnees
