Book Description
In this revolutionary book Bill Grace presents an innovative leadership model designed to cultivate a world-view suited for today's interconnected global society. He offers a framework for people aspiring to live for the good of others because they know that is ultimately the only way to thrive. Through concrete exercises, this book helps readers to determine their deepest values, which Bill proves are the heart and soul of leadership. He then demonstrates how living by these ideals allows the advancement of the common good. Readers learn a practical model for integrating ethics into everyday life and how to make choices based on concern for all. Bill's ground-breaking approach emphasises attention to justice, care, and inclusiveness, and stresses the urgent need to adopt these practices immediately. The book presents seven principles at the core of this new leadership model. These include traditionally valued leadership traits, such as commitment and vision, and expand on them to include such important practices as seeking out the perspectives of the marginalised, welcoming unpopular points of view, and cultivating the leader's genuine expression and voice.

Book Description
Good news begs to be shared. Christians have the responsibility and the privilege of passing on the good news that through faith in Jesus Christ, eternal and abundant life is offered to all people. And yet why are we so often reluctant to share? Why, even when we sometimes feel a strong sense of "oughtness" about being a witness to Jesus Christ, do we fail to do it? Leighton Ford identifies and offers biblical solutions to overcome our hesitancy: + Fear of how people will react + Not knowing how to communicate or what to say + The belief that evangelism or being a witness is "just not my gift" + A distorted view of what evangelism involves Leighton Ford believes in evangelism. It is his mission in life to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. He also knows that the style of our evangelism as well as the message must be good news. This book offers the hows, whens, and wheres of responsible and natural faith-sharing. It's a guide to evangelism that works. Good News Is for Sharing informs, equips, motivates, and encourages a natural, human, and personal way to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to help make friends for God.

Book Description
This document includes eight studies showcasing good practices in support of sustainable small-scale fisheries. FAO commissioned these studies aiming to share experiences and promote the implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries in the Context of Food Security and Poverty Eradication (SSF Guidelines). The case studies were also intended to promote participatory approaches – in line with the SSF Guidelines principles – and to promote increased interaction between research and fishing communities, including the use of traditional knowledge and participatory research. It is hoped that the case studies will inform policy and policy processes and, in this way, promote sustainable small-scale fisheries according to the SSF Guidelines and the human rights-based approach to development (HRBA). The case studies constitute a rich selection of experiences and are diverse, not only with regard to their geographical setting but also in scope and approach. They span from looking at one specific tool for sharing experiences (the fisheries learning exchanges methodology in Madagascar and Mozambique) or examining the enabling environment in a specific thematic area (disaster risks in Bangladesh), to regional policy formulation on small-scale fisheries (the SSF Guidelines protocol for Caribbean policies) and reflection on how to use the SSF Guidelines in participatory processes (the Myanmar step-by-step approach to discussions with small-scale fisheries communities). A few of the papers look at co-management, in some cases combining fisheries management and social development (Senegal, Uruguay and Nepal), with one focusing on the role of small-scale fisheries and community organizations (India). Generally, the case studies refer to HRBA but, perhaps because many of the activities have taken place in the past, it seems that HRBA has rarely been consciously and explicitly implemented. Still, the case studies bear witness to a number of experiences and practices that are clearly steps in the right direction. Key good practices emerging from the studies refer to, among other things, holistic approaches to co-management and social responsibility; broad engagement, inclusiveness and partnerships; the power of communication; and gender equality and the role of women. As more experience is gained, our knowledge of how to go about implementing the SSF Guidelines will improve and nurture new and continued initiatives. For the present and the future, efforts should be made to apply HRBA, while continuing to share experiences and good practices showing how to do so when implementing the SSF Guidelines.

Book Description
This book maps out the path from the original thought, “Maybe I should find a housemate,” to actually living with one. Like a guidebook for tourism or hiking, this book describes the milestones and choices on the path. Pluhar shows where the traps and snags are, as well as where the well-trodden and proven paths can be found. There are stories about others who are sharing housing and the methods they have found that work for them. Like finding a job, finding a good housemate is a process with definite steps and decisions. This book maps that process, with helpful advice about what to look for, what to avoid, and when specific actions need to be taken. In conjunction with her blog, www.sharinghousing.com, Pluhar provides worksheets in the book as well as on the website for downloading. This book will hold the hand of the people seeking good housemates—the ones with whom they would wish to live in harmony and comfort.
