Book Description
As we look at Sarah’s legacy, we see a woman who became a mother not only to her son Isaac but to all those who come after her—every believer who has ever dared to trust in God’s promises. Sarah is the spiritual matriarch of a vast lineage of faith, and her story, though ancient, still speaks to us today. It is a story that reminds us that nothing is too hard for God. It calls us to trust in His timing, even when we don’t understand it, and to hold on to hope, even when the odds seem impossible. In the end, the impossible is always possible with God. The promises He makes are sure, and in His hands, our doubts and struggles are transformed into testimony.

Book Description
This question has been asked by many throughout mankind's whole sojourn on earth. This book is a study of the interactions of the Lord God toward man as presented in the Bible. God's relationship with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the children of Israel, the judges, and several of the kings of Israel are all examined. God then sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to make good His promises and fulfill His desires for mankind, which Adam failed to do. The study examines Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, as well as the lives of His faithful servants such as Paul, Stephen, and Peter. The answer to the title's fundamental question is a unifying thread which not only runs throughout the whole Bible, but ties it all together!

Book Description
Paul's passionate Letter to the Galatians has occasioned various perspectives (old, new, radical new, apocalyptic, etc.) for explaining Paul's defense of the "truth of the gospel" in it. This book makes an audacious claim that the allegorical passage of 4:21-5:1 is the best vantage point for configuring Paul's theological vision and logic in the letter. Offering a fresh approach for understanding Paul's allegorical practice, it demonstrates how both the Abraham narrative and the book of Isaiah function as a formative matrix for Paul's theology. With an in-depth analysis of these scriptural texts, Paul's two identifications for believers in Christ--belonging to the "Jerusalem above" and being "children of promise" in the pattern of Isaac--receive new clarity and precision. The investigative journey in this book discusses key concepts and texts from Galatians, and addresses questions concerning the shape of Paul's retelling of Israel's story in relation to Jews and Gentiles. The result is a well-grounded interpretation of Paul's conception of the gospel that made him new and continues to bring about new creation in our world.

Book Description
Jesus Christ, Redemption Accomplished The book of Hebrews is a sacred proclamation of the supremacy of Jesus Christ. Being the Son of God with the Name above all names, Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Law, the prophets, and the Psalms. Having spoken through the Prophets of the Old Testament, God finally spoke through His Son Jesus Christ both as the Completer of God's plan of redemption and the fulfillment of the same as the perfect Sacrifice, satisfying the Law. The book of Hebrews assures us that Jesus Christ is our High Priest Who took His own holy and sinless Blood into the heavenly sanctuary, offering it to God as the eternal atonement for the redemption of the lost. In sum, The author of Hebrews is essentially telling his readers and Christians across the ages: Do not abandon your hope in Jesus. Keep your eye fixed on Him Who is your salvation. Never forget that Jesus is your High Priest. He has entered the presence of the Father in heaven and intercedes for you. He is your sure foundation in a world that is otherwise passing away. He will lead you safely home where you will dwell in His presence forevermore!

Book Description
This investigation builds upon recent developments in the study of Paul's use of Scripture that center around the concept of "intertextuality." Abasciano uses an exegetical method that incorporates into a thorough traditional exegesis a comprehensive analysis of Paul's use of Scripture against the background of interpretive traditions surrounding the texts alluded to, with great emphasis placed on analyzing the original contexts of Paul's citations and allusions. Such an intertextual exegesis is conducted in Romans 9:1-9 with an awareness of the broader unit of chapters 9-11 especially, and also the epistle as a whole. The study finds that many of the themes Paul deals with in Romans 9-11 are also present in ancient Jewish and Christian interpretive traditions surrounding the passages he invokes, and more importantly, that Paul's scriptural quotations and allusions function as pointers to their broad original contexts, from which he developed much of the form, content, and direction of his argument, holding significance for a number of exegetical details as well as broader themes and rhetorical movements. The final chapter seeks to draw conclusions concerning the significance of Paul's use of the Old Testament in Romans 9:1-9 for the exegesis and theology of Romans and for Pauline intertextuality. The identity of the true people of God is central to Romans 9-11 and the epistle. And Paul's use of Scripture is contextual and referential, calling for attention to Pauline intertextuality in standard exegetical procedure. JSNTS 301
