"He that gathereth not with me, saith the Lord, he scattereth." "Either acknowledge the tree as good (the Church) and its fruit as good, or acknowledge the tree as bad and its fruit as bad" (Matt. 12:33). "Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men ”(Matt. 12:31). "By fulfilling the measure of his sin," Metropolitan Sergius, together with his Synod, with the Decree of October 8 (21), 1927, introduced a new formula of commemoration. Mixing in one in the great and most holy sacrament of the Eucharist, in spite of God's word, "the faithful with the unbelievers" (2 Cor. 6: 14-18), the Holy Church and the enemies fighting to the death, the metropolitan with this blasphemy violates the prayerful meaning of the great sacrament and destroys its gracious significance for the eternal salvation of the souls of Orthodox believers. Hence the worship becomes not only ungrateful, due to the ungratefulness of the priest, but it also becomes an abomination in the eyes of God, and therefore both the performer and the participant in it are subject to categorical condemnation. Manifesting in his entire activity as an anti-church heretic, turning the Holy Orthodox Church from a home of the gracious salvation of believers into a gracious carnal organization deprived of the spirit of life, Metropolitan Sergius at the same time through his conscious denial of the truth and his insane betrayal of Christ is an apostate from God's Truth. Even without an external formal judgment of the Church (which cannot be produced over him), he is "self-condemned" (Titus 3: 10-11); he ceased to be what he was, a "servant of the Truth," according to the word, "Let his habitation be desolate ... let another take his dignity" (Acts 1:20). A number of exhortations of archpastors, God-wise fathers and Orthodox men of the Church for many years did not bring any benefit, did not bring Metropolitan Sergius to the realization of his sin and did not arouse repentance in his heart. Therefore, by the grace given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, "by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Cor. 5: 4) we declare the former Metropolitan Sergius deprived of prayerful communion with us and with all who are faithful to Christ and His world. Orthodox Church and we hand it over to God's judgment: "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord "(Heb. 10:30). The present act, in addition to those previously committed by us in 1927-28. statements, we make in strict consciousness of our archpastoral duty to our flock, all the faithful children of the Orthodox Church, standing in obedience to the Church of Christ, in due obedience to the rules of the Ecumenical Councils and the Council of the Russian Church of 1917-18, headed now by the Patriarchal Guardian Peter, Metropolitan Krutitsky, and his deputy Seraphim, Archbishop of Uglich. Fear not, little flock! For it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom ”(Luke 12:32). The humble Bishop Victor.

Book Description
Half an hour later Bishop Maxim and I left our company and went to the indicated 'address'. Twice patrols stopped us to ask for passes. We, the doctors, had such. But how will it be with the others: Bishop Victor, Bishop Hilarion, Bishop Nectarios and Fr. Nikolai ... Bishop Victor served as an accountant at the rope factory, Bishop Nectarios participated in fishing, the others wove nets ... Here is the end of the forest. Here is the camera, 4 fathoms long. No windows. The door is barely noticeable. Light twilight. The sky is covered with dark clouds. We knock three and then twice. Opens Fr. Николай. Bishop Victor and Bishop Hilarion are already here ... In a few minutes Bishop Nectarius arrives. Inside, the cell was turned into a church. On the floor and on the walls - fir twigs. Several candles are burning. Small paper icons. Small as a palm, a shroud among green twigs. A dozen people are praying. Later came another 4-5, two of them monks. The service began. In a whisper. It was as if we had no bodies, only hearing. Nothing distracted us or hindered our prayer. I do not remember how we returned 'home', ie in our companies. The Lord covered.

“ ... That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us ... ” (John 17:21)How is our Christian faith properly lived? Is Christianity a series of abstract teachings to which we, as individuals, give our mental or emotional assent? Or, as the future Russian Orthodox Archbishop and sainted martyr Ilarion (Troitsky) writes here, is the true aim of Christian life the transformation of our whole being as members of the Body of Christ, His Church? This classic translation is refreshed for the first time with updated typesetting and interior design. Questions for group discussion or personal reflection have been added as well as a biography of the author, subject and Scripture indexes.

Book Description
Disciple. Give a more precise and detailed notion of PRELEST [delusion, beauty=charm]. What exactly is PRELEST?Elder. PRELEST is damage to human nature by falsehood. PRELEST is the state of all men, with no exception, which has been made possible by the fall of our original parents [forefathers]. We all are in [a state of] PRELEST [delusion] [1]. Awareness [knowledge] of this [fact] is the greatest protection against PRELEST. The greatest PRELEST is to consider oneself free from PRELEST. We all are deceived, deluded; we all are in a condition of falsehood; we need to be liberated by the truth. Truth is our Lord Jesus Christ [2]. May we come to know this truth by having faith in It, may we cry out with prayer unto this Truth - and it will take us out of the abyss of self-deception and delusion [seduction] by demons. Our state is grievous! It is a prison, from which we pray that our soul be brought out, that I may praise thy name [3], oh Lord. It is that gloomy land onto which our life has been cast by the enemy that hates [envies] and persecutes us [4]. It is carnal mindedness [5] [philosophizing], and vain babblings [6] [knowledge falsely called so], wherewith the whole world is infected, refusing to acknowledge its illness, declaring it [rather, to be] the bloom of health. It is the flesh and blood that cannot inherit the kingdom of God [7]. It is eternal death, [being] healed and destroyed by the Lord Jesus, Who is the resurrection, and the life [8].

Book Description
How to bring the life and activities of theological students to the Church? They should arouse religious and theological independence in them ... Now, let the guardians of the church, instead of scolding the academy, its professors and students, instead of intensely searching for heresies in their writings and misconduct in their behavior, indicate ways to introduce this condition ...But life is not studied in a theological school! On the contrary, young people, already separated from their estates by life, are even more clogged from it by seminary pedagogy. Naturally, it's not life's fighters, zealots of truth, but dry theorists, artificially raised resonators who will leave the school: should they be given the message of life, heal the brokenhearted, release the tormented to freedom! "(Rev. Anthony Khrapovitsky) ...True, these words were spoken a little later, in 1896, but they could have been spoken earlier ...Here, pastoral jealousy is sharply confronted and diverges from official and official unbelief ... Since the mid-80s, this pastoral awakening, the renewal of the pastoral ideal has already been very noticeable ... This was most evident in the St. Petersburg Academy when Yanyshev was replaced as rector by Arseniy Bryantsev, later Archbishop of Kharkov. The Academy Inspector was transferred from Kazan, then still Archimandrite, Anthony Vadkovsky (1846-1912), afterwards. Metropolitan of St. Petersburg. He was a man of great cordial sympathy and benevolence. Around him there is a circle of zealots of a monastic feat, the so-called. "Squad." After a twenty-year hiatus, tonsure again begins in the student community. The ascetic ideal at the same time internally merges with the pastoral vocation, this was a new feature.
