Book Description
Resonance and Transcendence with Great Nature is a guide book for understanding the essence of material existence and consciousness, the relationship between materiality and mentality, and the path of enlightenment according to Taoist internal alchemy practice. Primarily serving as a preface for the book Discourse on Chuang Tzu, this book appears separately due to its wide coverage of Buddhist and Taoist theory, as well as modern physics concerning the compositional structure of materiality. Emancipating the mind from bondage constitutes the first step for enlightenment. By taking this first step, and allowing the miniature universe of the human body to resonate with the great nature found in the Mysterious Pass, people can walk along the correct path of enlightenment. In doing so, they may attain Oneness, where Jing, Qi and Shen are unified, thereby transforming consciousness into enlightening wisdom, gaining transcendence from the mundane world, and attaining release from the bondage of encumbrance and afflictions. This book provides clear and thorough explanations of terminologies and processes in Taoist transformative meditation, illustrating a sort of internal cultivation and purification practice based in the foundations of the I-Ching (the Hetu and Luoshu diagrams). It offers theory that students receive from meditation teachers in the Taoist mountains of China, to keep them on the right path in their self-cultivation, and explains the many correlations between Taoist, Buddhist, Confucian theory and practice. This guide also prepares readers for the book Discourse on Chuang Tzu which people may not have known about but have been waiting for! It includes esoteric explanations of Chuang Tzu's many puns and uses of poetic language, detailed histories of the many obscure characters and events within these stories, and revelations of passages which may seem almost arbitrary to readers without author's insights into Taoist practice, history, foundations, terminologies, etc., unfolding the poetic tapestry of meanings within the Chuang Tzu that only a Taoist adept of author's background and experience could explain.

Book Description
What does it mean for nature to be sacred? Is anything supernatural or even unnatural? Nature’s Transcendence and Immanence: A Comparative Interdisciplinary Ecstatic Naturalism discusses nature’s divinizing process of unfolding and folding through East-West dialogues and interdisciplinary methodologies. Nature’s selving/god-ing processes are the sacred that is revealed as nature’s transcendent and immanent dimensions. Each chapter of Nature’s Transcendence and Immanence: A Comparative Interdisciplinary Ecstatic Naturalism shares a part of nature’s sacred folds that are complexes within nature that have unusual semiotic density. These discussions serve to help restore a better relationship to nature as a whole through an innovative combination of research and ideas from a variety of traditions and disciplines. This collection not only introduces ecstatic naturalism and deep pantheism as sacred practices of philosophy and theology, but also invites a broader audience from a wide range of academic disciplines such as neuro-psychoanalysis, aesthetics, mythology, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Book Description
Essays at the End of the Age examines the rise and fall of nihilism in the context of the cycles of intellectual history and suggests ways to go beyond it. The modern era began with Descartes and the attempt to use the cogito to obtain a clear understanding of transcendent being. Unfortunately, the cogito led to nothingness through its resistance to constructs of "being." Then Kant attempted to synthesize nothingness with being in the transcendental aesthetic, with mixed results. Finally, Nietzsche used the power of nothingness itself (or nihilism) to negate any concept of being for the sake of the will to power. But nihilism led to the same nothingness as the cogito did, since nihilism, too, was based on resistance. The limitations of the superman became evident through the art and culture that reflected his negative ideal of absolute resistance to "the good"--and yet nihilism also indicates the end of philosophy and its attempt to describe transcendent value and the good of happiness. The superman is dead, and philosophy appears to be dead as well. The question now is whether it is possible to go beyond nihilism and find the identity, purpose, and meaning that the human spirit craves. Essays at the End of the Age uses illustrations from literature, music, science, and sacred texts to show why the superman failed to obtain happiness, and to point the way to a new mode of being.

Book Description
**The fully revised edition of Rupert Sheldrake's controversial science classic, from the author of the bestselling Dogs That Know When Their Owners are Coming Home, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2021!** After chemists crystallised a new chemical for the first time, it became easier and easier to crystallise in laboratories all over the world. After rats at Harvard first escaped from a new kind of water maze, successive generations learned quicker and quicker. Then rats in Melbourne, Australia learned yet faster. Rats with no trained ancestors shared in this improvement. Rupert Sheldrake sees these processes as examples of morphic resonance. Past forms and activities of organisms, he argues, influence organisms in the present through direct connections across time and space.Individual plants and animals both draw upon and contribute to the collective memory of their species. Sheldrake, now Director of the Perrott-Warwick Project supported by Trinity College, Cambridge, reinterprets the regularities of nature as being more like habits than immutable laws. Described as 'the best candidate for burning there has been for many years' by Nature on first publication, this updated edition will raise hackles and inspire curiosity in equal measure.

Book Description
In the present ecological crisis, it is imperative that human beings reconsider their place within nature and find new, more responsible and sustainable ways of living. Assumptions about the nature of God, the world, and the human being, shape our thinking and, consequently, our acting. Some have charged that the Christian tradition has been more a hindrance than a help because its theology of nature has unwittingly legitimated the exploitation of nature. This book takes the current criticism of Christian tradition to heart and invites a reconsideration of the problematic elements: its desacralization of nature; its preoccupation with the human being to the neglect of the rest of nature; its dualisms and elevation of the spiritual over material reality, and its habit of ignoring or resisting scientific understandings of the natural world. Anna Case-Winters argues that Christian tradition has a more viable theology of nature to offer. She takes a look at some particulars in Christian tradition as a way to illustrate the undeniable problems and to uncover the untapped possibilities. In the process, she engages conversation partners that have been sharply critical and particularly insightful (feminist theology, process thought, and the religion and science dialogue). The criticisms and insights of these partners help to shape a proposal for a reconstructed theology of nature that can more effectively fund our struggle for the fate of the earth.

Book Description
Hope and trust are key problems of the present world and should therefore be at the centre of interest of science and society. Climate change, pandemics, dangerous global and social polarization, people's distrust of politics and institutions, social isolation and the rise of mental problems in developed countries of material prosperity are problems that we will only be able to cope with if we know how to cultivate hope and trust. The authors deal with them from various aspects of the humanities: philosophy, theology, religious studies, intellectual history, cognitive science, psychology and psychotherapy. This gives the book an interdisciplinary character.

Book Description
Based on thirty-five years of intuitive research, this book explores the interface between healing, personal transformation, and the process of spiritual awakening. It proposes a new approach to psychology, and in particular the resolution of trauma: one that combines recent findings in neuroscience with time-honoured practices of meditation and contemplation, and a working understanding of subtle energy dynamics. Key topics are discussed at length and supported by thirty-nine accompanying illustrations, diagrams, and charts, plus additional explanatory notes. Large in scope, and practical in intention, Transcendence: Journey of the Soul provides essential information for those seeking to understand themselves more deeply, heal the hurts of their past, and express their full potential.
