Book Description
Phosphorus-Nitrogen Compounds: Cyclic, Linear, and High Polymeric Systems concerns itself with the chemistry of compounds containing alternating phosphorus - nitrogen atoms in the skeleton. The monograph aims to be an introduction to phosphorus-nitrogen chemistry, a review of advances in the field, and reference work. The text is divided into three parts. Part I covers the introduction, historical background, and nomenclature of phosphorus-nitrogen compounds and the theories in bonding and structure of phosphazenes and phosphazanes. Part II deals with reactions such as the synthesis of the phosphorus-nitrogen skeleton, hydrolysis of phosphazenes and phosphazanes, and the aminolysis of halophosphazenes. Part III discusses polymer chemistry and includes topics such as polymerization, depolymerization, and phosphazene polymers. The book is recommended for students and practitioners in the field of chemistry, especially those concerned with phosphorus nitrogen compounds and polymeric systems.

Book Description
This book deals with the processes behind cycles of the phosphate and nitrogen compounds in sediment and the phosphate equilibria between the sediment and the overlying water. In most waters, excessive concentrations of these compounds causes eutrophication: rapid, choking growth of algae. The chapters of this book probe the chemicals involved in considerable detail, and offer the complete understanding needed to remediate or prevent pollution problems.

Book Description
Phosphoric acid amides with PCl5 as well as hydroxyl ammonium salts with PCl5 (or with PC13) lead to the compound C13P=N-P(O)Cl2, which is also formed in the reaction between PCl3 and N2O4. The nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of this compound was studied. The phosphorus atoms in the compound possess the coordination number 4 and are chemically equivalent. The two phosphorus atoms are connected by a nitrogen bridge and a coupling constant of 15.4 c.p.s. was measured. The reactions of PCl5 with NH4Cl in solvents of not too low dielectric constant leads in good yield to P3NCl12, a compound whose constitutions was elucidated through chemical reactions, measurement of electrical conductivity and study of the nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum. Book Description
Pergamon Texts in Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 3: The Chemistry of Phosphorus focuses on the physical and chemical properties of phosphorus. This book discusses phosphorus compounds, such as phosphorus hydrides and phosphonium compounds; phosphorus halides and phosphorus pseudohalides; thiophosphoryl halides and thiophosphoryl pseudohalides; phosphorus oxides; and phosphorus-nitrogen compounds. The pyrophosphates, tripolyphosphates, polyphosphates, cyclic metaphosphates, and ultraphosphates are also covered in this text. This publication is intended for chemical engineering students and chemists researching on the characteristics of phosphorus.
