Excerpt from Report on Agricultural Concessions in the Multilateral Trade Negotiations The Tokyo Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations (mtn) from 1973 to 1979 was the most recent in a series of negotiations conducted under the auspices of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (gatt). The initial round of negotiations took place in Geneva in 1948. It was followed by Similar rounds later: Annecy Torquay Geneva the Dillon Round (1960 and the Kennedy Round (1963 The earlier rounds dealt almost entirely with tariff reductions; the Kennedy Round began to move into nontariff areas.
