A set of six colored post cards showing striking Museum exhibits was given to servicemen entering the Arts and Industries building, where facilities for writing and mailing the cards were made available. More than cards were given during the year. A small leaflet welcoming service men and women to the Institution was also made available; in it is de scribed the part played by Army and Navy personnel in the past in building up the National collections. At the close Of the year a col lector's manual for members of the armed forces was in preparation, and a plan was being worked out to provide docents for Museum tours for service personnel.
