Author Cam Rascoe returns with a tale of a talented Pine Hills youth’s journey into higher learning and a different land. Ras Cat the College Years explores race relations on college campuses across America in the early 1990’s while telling the tale of a promiscuously misguided young man’s loss through his favorite vice. Mr. Rascoe continues to push boundaries, offering compelling characters in the most poignant of tales. Detailed narration, painting vivid pictures makes this book a real page turner. The Vilified Victim of the Valley of Varied Vixens is an exciting and entertaining cautionary tale of how we accomplish exactly what we work towards in life. Unfortunately for young Ras Cat he applied his energy and talents towards becoming intimate with as many co-eds as time would allow. Loss of focus leads to the loss of a dream, all for the lust of the varied vixens of the valley.

College Student Leadership Development
Author: Valerie I. Sessa
Publisher: Taylor & Francis
ISBN: 1317378830
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 231
Book Description
College Student Leadership Development introduces the idea that we all play a part in producing leadership and that learning how to participate in the process of leadership is something that all college students need to learn as part of their college academic experience. Rather than approaching leadership from the traditional model emphasizing specific skill sets, this book acquaints students with how to learn leadership using the ReAChS model of leadership development (Reflection, Assessment, Challenge, Support). It then encourages students to directly engage their own experiences to hone their leader identity and understanding of leadership as well as improve their leadership knowledge and skills. Step-by-step exercises lead students in reflecting on their experiences, assessing themselves, choosing challenges, creating support networks, and finally capturing and communicating to others what they have learned. Throughout, examples of student leaders’ experiences provide readers with powerful examples of others’ successes and struggles in leadership alongside the latest psychological research on learning and development.

Stone Vessels in the Levant
Author: RachaelThyrza Sparks
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 135154778X
Category : Social Science
Languages : en
Pages : 507
Book Description
Examining stone vessels in the Levant during the 2nd millennium BC, the author explores the links between material culture and society through a comprehensive study of production and distribution. Extensively illustrated with 100 drawings, maps and charts, this volume includes a full object catalogue. This study represents the first comprehensive overview of the stone vessel assemblagesof the Levant in this period, a time which, fed by an increase of wealth and interregional trade, saw a growth in the popularity and variety of such vessels.Previously, our understanding of the varied functions and forms of these diverse vessels has been relatively underdeveloped. In this volume the author attempts to address this problem by creating a typological framework though which we can analyse variability and define essential characteristics of local stone vessel workshops. Only once this has been achieved is it possible to look at stone vessel production in its wider cultural context. Subsequent chapters explore broader themes, beginning within the workshops themselves, examining the links between craftsmen, their sources of raw materials, and the authorities that controlled and distributed their output. Considerations of the geographical and chronological distribution of such goods are then used to provide a regional perspective for the operation of these workshops, connections between them, and further insights into the nature of local and international trade. Finally, the objects themselves can be used to assess the impact of trends such as the growing Egyptianization of the ruling classes of the Levant at this time.
