Book Description
Current radiation protection standards are based upon the application of the linear no-threshold (LNT) assumption, which considers that even very low doses of ionizing radiation can cause cancer. The radiation hormesis hypothesis, by contrast, proposes that low-dose ionizing radiation is beneficial. In this book, the author examines all facets of radiation hormesis in detail, including the history of the concept and mechanisms, and presents comprehensive, up-to-date reviews for major cancer types. It is explained how low-dose radiation can in fact decrease all-cause and all-cancer mortality and help to control metastatic cancer. Attention is also drawn to biases in epidemiological research when using the LNT assumption. The author shows how proponents of the LNT assumption consistently reject, manipulate, and deliberately ignore an overwhelming abundance of published data and falsely claim that no reliable data are available at doses of less than 100 mSv.

Book Description
This book presents new information on radiobiology that more clearly refutes the linear no-threshold (LNT) assumption and supports radiation hormesis. Fresh light is cast on the mechanisms of radiation hormesis and the potential benefits of low-dose ionizing radiation in preventing and treating a wide variety of inflammatory and proliferative diseases. It is proposed that these effects may derive from cellular communication via electromagnetic waves directed by DNA, with each cell acting as a quantum computer. Readers will also find close analysis of the negative impacts of radiophobia on many aspects of modern life, including attitudes to imaging technologies, licensing of nuclear power reactors, and preparedness for survival of nuclear war. The book will be of interest to researchers and scientists in radiobiology, radiation protection, health physics, medical physics, and radiology. Specifically, it will provide medical physicians, radiation oncologists, radiation epidemiologists, gerontologists, cell biologists, toxicologists, and nuclear engineers with a wide range of interesting facts and enlightening novel perspectives.

Book Description
Radiation Hormesis presents the only critical review of the effects of whole-body exposure to low doses of ionizing radiation in animals. This is a "must read" book for radiobiologists, health-conscious individuals, and serious environmentalists. Topics discussed include our radiation environment, radiation hormesis in cancer mortality, growth and development, reproduction and mutation, immunity, and cancer. Data is presented that indicates that low doses of ionizing radiation may actually be beneficial to human health. This information could invalidate the "zero thesis" and linear models used by most regulatory agencies. The implications regarding eliminating linear models and accepting radiation hormesis are also discussed.

Book Description
This book is the seventh in a series of titles from the National Research Council that addresses the effects of exposure to low dose LET (Linear Energy Transfer) ionizing radiation and human health. Updating information previously presented in the 1990 publication, Health Effects of Exposure to Low Levels of Ionizing Radiation: BEIR V, this book draws upon new data in both epidemiologic and experimental research. Ionizing radiation arises from both natural and man-made sources and at very high doses can produce damaging effects in human tissue that can be evident within days after exposure. However, it is the low-dose exposures that are the focus of this book. So-called “late” effects, such as cancer, are produced many years after the initial exposure. This book is among the first of its kind to include detailed risk estimates for cancer incidence in addition to cancer mortality. BEIR VII offers a full review of the available biological, biophysical, and epidemiological literature since the last BEIR report on the subject and develops the most up-to-date and comprehensive risk estimates for cancer and other health effects from exposure to low-level ionizing radiation.

Book Description
Did you know that for thousands of years people have been treating pain, injuries, and disease with low-radioactive stones? Now you have access to the same lost art! "The Hormesis Effect: The Miraculous Healing Power of Radioactive Stones" may well be one of the most important books you will ever read. The U.S. is in desperate need of a health revolution: cancer has now surpassed heart disease as the number one killer, affecting nearly one out of every two Americans. But the late Jay Gutierrez, noted Native American healer and founder of Night Hawk Minerals in Pritchett, Colorado, came up with a solution. As told by award-winning New York psychoanalyst, acclaimed holistic health consultant, and author Jane G. Goldberg, Ph.D., Jay rediscovered a forgotten ancient science that was once well-known to our prehistoric ancestors: the healing power of low-level radioactivity. The concept of using low-dose radiation for therapeutic purposes, called in medical literature "radiation hormesis," has 100 years of solid scientific research behind it, and thousands of medical studies to support it. The application of low-level radiation promises to save countless lives, as well as millions of dollars in medical bills, as it has already done through Jay's implementation. Radiation hormesis is easy, affordable, and highly effective. If you're like most people, you're afraid of radiation, and all it implies. Yet, in other countries all over the world, millions of people have benefitted from using low-level radiation on everything from tennis elbow, joint pain and arthritis, to far more serious illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, spinal meningitis, autism, stroke, macular degeneration, heart disease and cancer. Jay's unique contribution has been to find an inexpensive delivery system that brings this powerful, proven healing modality to all of us, within the comfort of our own homes: low-level radioactive natural stones. This important, well researched, illustrated book not only tells the story of Jay's modern day rediscovery of natural radiation hormesis, it also provides practical information on how to acquire and use his stones, along with numerous other related techniques on how to improve one's health and treat disease. For medical practitioners, researchers, and scientists there is an annotated bibliography, copious references, and a comprehensive index. The Foreword to "The Hormesis Effect" is by holistic doctor Raphael d'Angelo, M.D., a respected expert in the fields of naturopathic care and integrative family medicine, and the director of The ParaWellness Research Program in Aurora, Colorado. Take this journey with the authors and be amazed, outraged, delighted, moved, surprised, grateful, and awe-struck. It could save a life. Available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook.

Book Description
Fundamentals of Radiation and Chemical Safety covers the effects and mechanisms involved in radiation and chemical exposure on humans. The mechanisms and effects of these damaging factors have many aspects in common, as do their research methodology and the methods used for data processing. In many cases of these types of exposures the same final effect can also be noted: Cancer. Low doses of radiation and small doses of chemical exposure are continuously active and they could influence the entire population. The analysis of these two main source hazards on the lives of the human population is covered here for the first time in a single volume determining and demonstrating their common basis. Fundamentals of Radiation and Chemical Safety includes the necessary knowledge from nuclear physics, chemistry and biology, as well the methods of processing the experimental results. This title focuses on the effects of low radiation dosage and chemical hormesis as well as the hazards associated with, and safety precautions in radiation and chemicals, rather than the more commonly noted safety issues high level emergencies and disasters of this type. Brings together, for the first time, the problems of radiation and chemical safety on a common biophysical basis. Relates hazards caused by ionizing radiation and chemicals and discusses the common effective mechanisms Outlines common methodology and data processing between radiation and regular chemical hazards Concerns primarily with low levels of radiation and chemical exposure
