Book Description
A true classic on the meaning of hope when confronted by the death of the young. For a decade people have been asking, "Where can I borrow, buy or get my hands on a copy of one of the best books ever written about sudden sorrow?" Now available in an updated edition, this book is a wonderful guide for those who face the reorganization of their lives following the death of a loved one. Susan Elizabeth Angell, 21, a Pomona College senior, was killed a few short weeks before she was to graduate as a violin major. Word reached the Angell family just as dawn broke over the San Bernardino mountains on Easter morning. Susan, driving back from a camping trip at the Grand Canyon in order to arrive in time to join the Easter festivities and enjoy the family dinner, had fallen asleep at the wheel. Jim Angell's sermon was ready, but was his faith prepared for such tragic news? His story, a survival manual too long out of print, is finally available again.

Book Description
The world spins faster than ever before. The digital age has swept through our lives, changing the way we communicate, consume news, and connect with each other. In this whirlwind of change, it's easy to feel lost, adrift in a sea of information overload. But amidst the digital deluge, there's a yearning for something real, something tangible, something that reminds us of who we are and where we come from. Enter Stan, a seasoned journalist who finds himself grappling with the decline of print media. He's a man of routine, a creature of habit, a lover of the printed word. The world outside his newsroom is changing, but he's clinging to the past, to the familiar comfort of ink and paper. His story is a microcosm of a larger shift, a reflection of the changing times. It's a humorous and heartwarming tale of a man clinging to tradition in a rapidly evolving world, a man who finds solace in the stories he tells, and a man who discovers that the spirit of storytelling transcends the medium. This is a story about the last evening, a nostalgic nod to a bygone era, but also a hopeful look toward the future. It's a reminder that while the world spins forward, the human heart still yearns for connection, for shared experiences, and for stories that make us feel less alone.

Book Description
This is an unlikely story of true events. The Day that changed the World in the United States (bombing of the Twin Towers), the Day of Fate in Germany and the Day of Destiny in Israel are all connected with the 11th day of the 9th month. These 9/11 dates entail much more than three events in three countries. In the Hebrew tradition, they include all the calamities that have befallen the Jews from the time of the Destruction of the First Temple and Second Temple, the Expulsion of the Jews from England, France, Spain through to the Holocaust in World War II. These events are, in turn, part of a larger history, which linked the same date with cosmic events such as a day of Cosmic Battle and the Birth of Venus and gave special significance to the numbers 9 and 11. Part one explores this tradition and surveys a range of sources from a former German officer involved in the plot against Hitler, to various conspiracy theories. These events are also related to swastikas and hexagrams. Since World War II there has been a trend to associate swastikas with an evil, German Aryan tradition and hexagrams (e.g. six-pointed Star of David) with a good, Jewish Semitic tradition. Historically, a Jewish connection with the Star of David is late Mediaeval rather than Biblical. Swastikas and hexagrams are found in both the Aryan and the Semitic tradition. Hence, the new trend distorts a complex history. More disturbingly, in the guise of tolerance and political correctness, one version of stories is highlighted, others are being suppressed and truth is endangered.
