El tema del presente proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo mejorar el proceso de recojo de los envíos de los clientes dentro de una empresa de mensajería rápida internacional, a través de un plan estratégico que brinde agilidad y velocidad al proceso. Tal como se adquiere con el modelo de referencia de la cadena de suministro y con la implementación de la filosofía de la orden perfecta. Estas estrategias requieren de operaciones específicas como la creación de reportes e indicadores que controlen y permitan una mejor comunicación del proceso. Con dicho objetivo, la empresa busca obtener un mejor posicionamiento e incrementar las ventas. La hipótesis de la que se parte sostiene que las demoras en el proceso de recojo se deben a la falta de control del proceso y a la descoordinación de las áreas involucradas al proceso. Este proyecto de investigación se ha divido en cuatro capítulos. En el primer capítulo se desarrollan los conceptos necesarios para la adecuada gestión de la cadena de suministro con la finalidad de aplicarla en la mejora de la cadena de suministro de la empresa en base a diversas herramientas. En el segundo capítulo, se presenta a la empresa; se analiza y diagnostica la causa raíz del problema que impactan tanto al cliente como a la empresa. En el tercer capítulo, se desarrolla la propuesta de mejora del proceso de recojo y los costos incurridos para su implementación. Finalmente, en el cuarto capítulo, se desarrollan las conclusiones y recomendaciones del presente proyecto de investigación. De este manera, se llegó a la conclusión que realizando una adecuada gestión de la logística de salida se puede incrementar la rentabilidad de una empresa, así como incrementar la calidad de servicio de la misma.

Based on twenty case studies of universities worldwide, and on a survey administered to leaders in 101 universities, this open access book shows that, amidst the significant challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, universities found ways to engage with schools to support them in sustaining educational opportunity. In doing so, they generated considerable innovation, which reinforced the integration of the research and outreach functions of the university. The evidence suggests that universities are indeed open systems, in interaction with their environment, able to discover changes that can influence them and to change in response to those changes. They are also able, in the success of their efforts to mitigate the educational impact of the pandemic, to create better futures, as the result of the innovations they can generate. This challenges the view of universities as "ivory towers" being isolated from the surrounding environment and detached from local problems. As they reached out to schools, universities not only generated clear and valuable innovations to sustain educational opportunity and to improve it, this process also contributed to transform internal university processes in ways that enhanced their own ability to deliver on the third mission of outreach

Steeped in more than a decade of ethnography on the emergent entrepreneurial middle class of Barbados, she finds dramatic reworkings of selfhood, intimacy, labor, and life amid the rumbling effects of political-economic restructuring.
