The contemporary crisis of emerging disease has been a century and a half in the making. Human, veterinary, and crop health practitioners convinced themselves that disease could be controlled by medicating the sick, vaccinating those at risk, and eradicating the parts of the biosphere responsible for disease transmission. The New Paradigm begins by extolling Science and what it has done for us. Then, in Chapter 2, the consequences of our short-sighted acceptance of the comforts of the present are shown to make it unlikely that the West can survive this century. In Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8 there is presented evidence for the acceptance of the reality of Telepathy and Precognition; of ghosts of people; of the ability of some to leave the body whilst still alive; of experiences when very near to death which seem to be independent of the experiencer's religion.
