Con gress declared all noncitizen Indians born within the territorial limits of the United States to be citizens of the United States. Therefore, even if your parents were not among those made citizens by reason of the 1887 act, as amended, they acquired citizenship under the 1924 act. On October 14, 1940, by the act known as the Nationality Act of 1940 (54 Stat. Congress revised and codified the nationality laws of the United States. That act provides in part: Sec. 201.
