Book Description
Manohar Bhatia’s {“NAGAMUCHI”} is his second work of fiction after his earlier successful spy novel:: {The Man With The Magic Spectacles} published by www.sagabooks.net in Alberta (Canada) on 11th October, 2007. He has now come out with a story that spans across country, peoples, places and cultures. Truly engrossing and innocently delightful, it is a simple story that begins a birth of rejoicing, moves on to despair, hope and finally triumphs. The guru-shishya relationship between the princely Japan-born child Nagamuchi and the Indian born music teacher Suryavanshi finding a unique cure for treating deafness by music seems to be a unique idea that brings hope and reward. It is a story that can further bridge Indo-Japan relations. The story is as inspiring as the story of Helen Keller. Poignant and full of hope as the Indian story ‘Black’ enacted by Amitabh Bachchan on celluloid. It has the potential to draw the crowds to the theatre if told on the silver screen. Right from the first page, a better chapter awaits the reader on the other side. So read on.....

The Ultimate Revelations
Author: Jamshed Akhtar
Publisher: Jamshed Akhtar
ISBN:
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 468
Book Description
Concurrent with a freak solar activity, a young scientist begins seeing strange and puzzling dreams of momentous events from the past. He sees an occurrence in the formation of solar system, a day in the Cretaceous period, Noah's boat being constructed, Buddha giving a sermon to a large multitude, Moses climbing the mountain to keep tryst with the mysterious fire, and child Mary's guardianship being decided in the temple. The mystic night visions end with an episode in Muhammed’s life, leave the young man perturbed and intrigued, and prod him to study and collect data on metaphysical aspect of life. Meanwhile, falling temperatures all over the world, herald the onset of an ice age. The planet in its fight for survival, tries to distribute the heat stored in oceans all over the land. Tornadoes, squalls and high velocity winds sweep the planet and add to the misery of the humanity already suffering from the energy crunch. At this crucial juncture, the young man gets an inspiration and presents before the world, a hypothesis about a Grand Cosmic Design... The Design is aesthetically beautiful, breathtakingly simple, and awesome in its expanse, yet the most remarkable thing about it is its promise of the expected arrival of a ‘Message from stars’ that has all the knowledge of Cosmos hidden in it… Identifying allegiance to the persona of past Prophets as the main cause, working against the introduction of new revelations, the Design predicts the replacement of human prophets with the arrival of an Ultimate Transmission on earth. From this transmission, the humanity will have to decode the future information itself, hidden in coded layers, in different time frames. Believing that this last transmission may contain a resolution of the global crisis, the young man begins to probe existing sources of all such knowledge on earth as its future possibility could not be investigated now. Identifying the latest scripture as a possible candidate, the young man examines and presents before the world, arguments from its historical records, its descent, its language, its peculiar time of arrival, characteristics of its recipient nation, its contents, the presence of an interpreting mechanism in it, and its collective effect on the world. Utilizing chaos and order tapestry, the young man outlines the effect of Quran, beginning from the initial seven centuries of development and progress of land under its sway, to the subsequent reign of chaos and then development of another part of the planet via transfer of its infra-structure of information. Lastly, he analyses a mathematical argument, corrects an anomaly in it, and suggests a key to the first coded layer of extra-terrestrial information in this transmission. Originally published in 1996, The Ultimate Revelations is the first and only science fiction in the world, centered around Quran. The author researcher, continuing his research, has subsequently published two more nonfiction books on this topic. In the present environment, where Quran lies at the centre of increasing assault of hatred and chaos, the author has initiated ‘Project Infinite Peace’ to collectively investigate his work, through a panel of linguists, scientists and science historians.

Retrosynthetic Analysis and Synthesis of Natural Products 1
Author: Olivier Piva
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons
ISBN: 1786303493
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 314
Book Description
For chemists, attempting to mimic nature by synthesizing complex natural products from raw material is a challenge that is fraught with pitfalls. To tackle this unique but potentially rewarding task, researchers can rely on well-established reactions and methods of practice, or apply their own synthesis methods to verify their potential. Whatever the goal and its complexity, there are multiple ways of achieving it. We must now establish a strategic and effective plan that requires the minimum number of steps, but lends itself to widespread use. This book is structured around the study of a dozen target products (butyrolactone, macrolide, indole compound, cyclobutanic terpene, spiro- and polycyclic derivatives, etc.). For each product, the different disconnections are presented and the associated syntheses are analyzed step by step. The key reactions are described explicitly, followed by diagrams showing the range of impact of certain transformations. This set of data alone is conducive to understanding syntheses and indulging in this difficult, but worthwhile activity.

Advances in Usability Evaluation
Author: Marcelo M. Soares
Publisher: CRC Press
ISBN: 1439870241
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 688
Book Description
Successful interaction with products, tools, and technologies depends on usable designs, accommodating the needs of potential users and does not require costly training. In this context, Advances in Usability Evaluation Part I discusses emerging concepts, theories, and applications of human factors knowledge focusing on the discovery and understanding of human interaction with products and systems for their improvement. The book covers devices and their interfaces, focusing on optimization of user devices and emphasizing visual and haptic feedback. It then discusses user studies, exploring the limits and capabilities of special populations, particularly the elderly, which can influence the design. It also examines the effect of changes in force and kinematics, physiology, cognitive performance, in the design of consumer products, tools and workplaces. Examining a variety of user-centered evaluation approaches, the concluding chapters details methods for developing products that can improve safety and human performance and at same time, the efficiency of the system. It reports on usability evaluations for different kinds of products and technologies, particularly for cellular phones, earphones, earphone controls, mattresses and pillows, package and professional tools, and service systems. The book provides new methods that enhance performance, expand capabilities, and optimize the fit between people and technology.

THE MAN WITH THE MAGIC SPECTACLES
Author: Manohar Bhatia
Publisher: Blue Rose Publishers
ISBN:
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 119
Book Description
I was at the library one day, browsing through some pictorial journals, when my eye caught sight of a copy of National Geographic, It contained some very exciting photographs of wild life, the planets in the solar system and beautiful exotic plants. I wanted to have a copy of these pictures, but there was no way I could. I had a camera with me, but taking photographs was prohibited in the library. To add to my woes, the photocopy machine was out of order. I was wearing my glasses and it was then that an idea struck me. What if my reading glasses could copy these photos? Would it be possible? What if by reading the whole text of any publication – a book, magazine or even a film – it could be recorded just like a voice on tape? It would be a truly thrilling experience! However, such recording glasses would have to be specially manufactured. These thoughts led me to writing “The Man with The Magic Spectacles.” I thought of a plot, story line, location and characters, and quickly fitted all of these together. My co- writer, Martha Jette has helped me by adding chapters, developing characters and editing the entire manuscript.
