Feasibility Study of Ferrite Use at Mm Waves
Author: C. Vittoria
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 30
Book Description
A survey was conducted in order to establish the usefulness of ferrites at millimeter wave frequencies. We expect hexagonal ferrites to be operational up to approximately 500 GHz for non-reciprocal device applications. The limiting factor of these type of ferrites at millimeter wave frequencies may possibly be that the dielectric propagation loss is too high. Beyond 500 GHz antiferromagnetic materials may have to be explored for possible uses. (Author).

Millimeter-Wave Radio-over-Fiber Links based on Mode-Locked Laser Diodes
Author: Brendel, Friederike
Publisher: KIT Scientific Publishing
ISBN: 3866449860
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 324
Book Description
Radio communications in the range of 60 GHz enable multi-Gigabit/s network access in indoor environments. Due to the propagation characteristics of such signals only very short range radio transmission is feasible. In order to distribute these signals across large distances, analog transmission over optical fiber is considered. In this work, mode-locked laser diodes serve as optoelectronic oscillators for the generation of such signals. Their system-relevant properties are studied in detail.
