BIEN QUE L'EMPLOI DES ULTRASONS SOIT DE PRATIQUE COURANTE DANS LE DOMAINE CLINIQUE POUR L'EXPLORATION DE MILIEUX BIOLOGIQUES, LES ULTRASONS RESTENT DANS CE CAS UNIQUEMENT QUALITATIFS DANS DES GAMMES DE FREQUENCES DEPASSANT RAREMENT 10 MHZ. NOTRE TRAVAIL DE RECHERCHE SE SITUE A L'INTERFACE DE NOUVEAUX DEVELOPPEMENTS: APPROCHE QUANTITATIVE ET HAUTE FREQUENCE ULTRASONORE. L'ECHOGRAPHIE QUANTITATIVE OU CARACTERISATION TISSULAIRE PAR ULTRASONS CONSISTE A ESTIMER DES PARAMETRES QUANTITATIFS A PARTIR DU SIGNAL ECHOGRAPHIQUE ULTRASONORE RADIOFREQUENCE REFLECHI PAR UN MILIEU. SUR CE SIGNAL, DES METHODES SPECIFIQUES PERMETTENT L'EXTRACTION DE PARAMETRES, EN PARTICULIER L'ATTENUATION ULTRASONORE, DONT LA VALEUR DEPEND DES CARACTERISTIQUES DU TISSU (NATURE, ARCHITECTURE, ETAT PATHOLOGIQUE OU NON). CE SUJET DE RECHERCHE A PORTE SUR L'ETUDE DES MILIEUX BIOLOGIQUES TRES ATTENUANTS, JUSQU'A LORS NON ACCESSIBLES PAR LES METHODES QUANTITATIVES CLASSIQUES. LES DIFFERENTES ETAPES REALISEES ONT ETE: ? LA MODELISATION DU MILIEU BIOLOGIQUE ET LA SIMULATION DE L'INTERACTION ULTRASONS-MILIEU ; ? LE DEVELOPPEMENT DE TECHNIQUES ORIGINALES DE TRAITEMENT DE SIGNAL (ANALYSE SPECTRALE PARAMETRIQUE, MODELES AUTO-REGRESSIFS) ; ? LE DEVELOPPEMENT DES ALGORITHMES CORRESPONDANTS POUR L'EXTRACTION DES INFORMATIONS QUANTITATIVES ; ? LA VALIDATION DE LEURS PERFORMANCES PAR RAPPORT AUX TECHNIQUES CLASSIQUES (ANALYSE DE FOURIER) ; ? ET LA FAISABILITE DES METHODES INTRODUITES SUR DES ECHANTILLONS BIOLOGIQUES DE PEAU A HAUTE FREQUENCE (20 MHZ). SUR UN MILIEU STRATIFIE TEL QUE LA PEAU DE PORC, NOUS AVONS REALISE DES PROFILS D'ATTENUATION EN FONCTION DE LA PROFONDEUR SELON LA LOCALISATION DANS LES DIFFERENTES COUCHES DE LA PEAU (DERME, HYPODERME)

Output Measurements for Medical Ultrasound
Author: Roy C. Preston
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1447118839
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 190
Book Description
Medical applications of ultrasound range from therapy, foetal monitoring, diagnostic imaging and blood flow measurement, to surgery and lithotripsy. Ever since the earliest developments of medical ultrasound there has been an interest in the measurement and characterisation of the ultrasonic fields generated in these applications, either for assessment of performance of equipment or for safety. Until recently, procedures for acoustic output measurements were ill-defined, but standards are now being developed internationally by the International Electrotechnical Commission (1EC) and reliable commercial measuring equipment is becoming more widely available. The aim of this book is to introduce acoustic output measurement techniques and to provide an insight into the measurement methods. The material presented is based on a course originally run during November 1989 at the National Physical Laboratory. In addition to the lectures, the course consisted of a series of practicals to allow participants to gain experience of making measurements.
