Elinor (Lin) Ostrom was awarded the 2009 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for her pathbreaking research on "economic governance, especially the commons"; but she also made important contributions to several other fields of political economy and public policy. Excerpt from Principles of Political Science As this book is meant to be a text-book for the earlier stages of political and economic studies I have not elaborate-d what may be called abnormal theories. A fair impersonal presentation of modern political theory has been my endeavour.
