ISBN: 1423638670
Category : Cooking
Languages : en
Pages : 541

Festive recipes from the Wall Street Journal bestselling author whose books “continue his exploration and celebration of Southern grace and style” (Vie Magazine). In the South, weddings, showers, birthdays, retirements and high holidays, along with many of life’s milestones and seasonal splendors, all lend themselves to celebrations. Even the luxury of a Sunday evening at home with family—and friends considered to be family—can be a cause for a feast. Through luscious signature recipes, stories and gorgeous photography, Farmer, known as “a Martha Stewart of the South,” and friends show us what Southern hospitality is all about. From society weddings to Lowcountry boils, second birthdays to Christmas parties, you’ll be guided through the menu planning and preparations to pull off celebrations that will be talked about for years. Praise for James T. Farmer and his books “A Southern gentleman who’s just as charming in the garden as he is in the kitchen. He’s compiled all his botanical experiences into A Time to Plant.”—Harper’s Bazaar “A Time to Cook, A Time to Plant and A Time to Celebrate are titles of three of his books that inspire readers to cultivate, decorate and salivate over their own efforts in the kitchen. His books contain descriptive text combined with colorful photographs and garden-to-table recipes.”—The Virginian-Pilot

The Ministry, Vol. 11, No. 01
Author: Various Authors
Publisher: Living Stream Ministry
ISBN:
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 259
Book Description
This issue of The Ministry contains a complete record of the twelve messages given during the 2006 winter training on the Crystallization-study of Mark, held December 25-30 in Anaheim, California. The crucial truth and the burden embodied in these twelve messages may be summarized in four statements: (1) When we live in the mingled spirit, we are learning Christ according to the reality in Jesus by the Spirit of reality so that His biography becomes our history to be the reality of the Body of Christ. (2) The kingdom of God is the Lord Jesus sown as a seed into the believers and developing into a realm over which God can rule in the divine life. (3) Christ's person with His all-inclusive death and His wonderful resurrection is our all-inclusive replacement for the producing of the one new man, so we must "hear Him" and see "Jesus only." (4) Let us go forth and preach Christ to all the creation, proclaiming the gospel, presenting the truth, and ministering life for the growth, development, and manifestation of the kingdom of God. These messages are being published immediately following the training in order that they may benefit the saints participating in the many video trainings that are held throughout the earth. The Announcements section includes a presentation of the present burden in the recovery concerning the Lord's move to Europe and the latest fellowship regarding the plan to build a ministry conference center in Anaheim, California. In the Announcements section we also include the 2007 calendar, giving the dates and locations of the seven Living Stream Ministry conferences and trainings--the seven annual feasts. One cannot measure the benefits derived from the Lord's rich speaking in His ministry and the mutual blending and building up of the saints and the churches in the Lord's recovery from every continent during these feasts.

Who Art Thou, Lord?
Author: Charles Van Divier Darnell
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1479794287
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 399
Book Description
The apostle Paul's experience was real. The blinding light and the voice confronting him with the question, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?" His response is the same question we should be asking, "Who art thou, Lord?" Paul thought he knew God, but he didn't. God wants us to ask this same important question. God has revealed Himself in the Scripture through His Son, Jesus, the light of the world. It is the Gospel, the good news, of Jesus's ministry, the truth about God. It is the substance of our faith in Him, our salvation, and the subject of this book.

Exodus
Author: R. J. Rushdoony
Publisher: Chalcedon Foundation
ISBN: 1879998408
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 592
Book Description
Essentially, all of mankind is on some sort of exodus. However, the path of fallen man is vastly different from that of the righteous. Apart from Jesus Christ and His atoning work, the exodus of a fallen humanity means only a further descent from sin into death. But in Christ, the exodus is now a glorious ascent into the justice and dominion of the everlasting Kingdom of God. Therefore, if we are to better understand the gracious provisions made for us in the "promised land" of the New Covenant, a thorough examination into the historic path of Israel as described in the book of Exodus is essential.

SAINT ATHANASIUS OF ALEXANDRIA COLLECTION [5 BOOKS] — Quality Formatting and Value — Active Index, Multiple Table of Contents for all Books — Multiple Illustrations Saint Athanasius of Alexandria, also called Athanasius the Great, Athanasius the Confessor or, primarily in the Coptic Orthodox Church, Athanasius the Apostolic, was the twentieth bishop of Alexandria (as Athanasius I). His episcopate lasted 45 years (c. 8 June 328 – 2 May 373), of which over 17 were spent in five exiles ordered by four different Roman emperors. Athanasius is a renowned Christian theologian, a Church Father, the chief defender of Trinitarianism against Arianism, and a noted Egyptian leader of the fourth century. Conflict with Arius and Arianism as well as successive Roman emperors shaped Athanasius's career. In 325, at the age of 27, Athanasius began his leading role against the Arians as a deacon and assistant to Bishop Alexander of Alexandria during the First Council of Nicaea. Roman emperor Constantine the Great had convened the council in May–August 325 to address the Arian position that the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, is of a distinct substance from the Father. Three years after that council, Athanasius succeeded his mentor as archbishop of Alexandria. In addition to the conflict with the Arians, he struggled against the Emperors Constantine, Constantius II, Julian the Apostate and Valens. He was known as "Athanasius Contra Mundum". —BOOKS— AGAINST THE HEATHEN LATER TREATISES OF SAINT ATHANASIUS SELECT TREATISES OF SAINT ATHANASIUS THE FESTAL EPISTLES OF SAINT ATHANASIUS THE PARADISE OF THE HOLY FATHERS PUBLISHER: AETERNA PRESS
