La mémoire du passé lointain, composante fondamentale de la mémoire humaine, est constituée 1 d'une mémoire autobiographique et d'une mémoire non autobiographique, comprenant des aspects épisodiques et sémantiques. Cette mémoire très importante est altérée dans de nombreuses pathologies neurologiques mais peu de tests évaluent conjointement les différents aspects de cette mémoire. Nos objectifs visaient à développer un test de fluence verbale de la mémoire du passé lointain afin d'évaluer ces différentes composantes et d'étudier l'influence des variables : la fréquence de répétition et la valence émotionnelle. Ainsi, nous avons utilisé les principes de la fluence verbale, puis nous avons étudié l'épisodicité des événements et l'influence des variables sur la récupération des souvenirs en mémoire. Les résultats mettent en évidence des stratégies cognitives globalement différentes pour récupérer l'information en mémoire selon ces divers aspects. Il apparaît également que le caractère temporaire du stockage épisodique et sémantique en mémoire serait différent selon la nature de l'information. De plus, la valence émotionnelle jouerait un rôle important dans les aspects autobiographiques et épisodiques. Ainsi, grâce aux normes établies auprès de 48 sujets, cet outil pourra contribuer à l'évaluation de cette mémoire chez des patients présentant une amnésie rétrograde. Cette recherche a permis de mieux comprendre la mémoire du passé lointain et ainsi d'établir une prise en charge thérapeutique plus appropriée.
