La Fédération nationale des centres de lutte le cancer (FNCLCC) et les Centres régionaux de lutte contre le cancer (CRLCC), en collaboration avec des partenaires des secteurs public (CHU, CHG), privé et certaines sociétés savantes, ont entrepris depuis 1993 d'élaborer des recommandations pour la pratique clinique en cancérologie : les " Standards, Options et Recommandations " (SOR). L'opération SOR, basée sur une analyse critique de la littérature scientifique disponible par un groupe d'experts pluridisciplinaire, a pour objectif d'améliorer la qualité et l'efficience des soins donnés aux patients atteints de cancer en fournissant aux praticiens une aide à la décision facilement utilisable. Le nombre estimé de nouveaux cas de cancer du pancréas est de 2700 par an, en France. Le pronostic en est sombre puisque 3 % des patients sont vivants cinq ans après le diagnostic de la maladie. L'adénocarcinome primitif du rectum représente près de 40 % des cancers colo-rectaux recensés en France. De par sa situation anatomique, le cancer pose deux problèmes particuliers, celui des récidives locorégionales et celui de la conservation sphinctérienne. Objectifs : Définir sur la base d'une revue systématique des données scientifiques de la littérature des recommandations pour la prise en charge diagnostique et thérapeutique initiale des patients atteints de cancer du pancréas ou d'adénocarcinome primitif du rectum. Une mise à jour est prévue en fonction de nouvelles données scientifiques ou de nouveaux accords d'experts.
