Contexte : La méthode IPS a été développée dans les années 1990 aux Etats Unis pour proposer une aide à la réinsertion professionnelle en milieu ordinaire des personnes souffrant de troubles mentaux sévères, avec pour principe de base l'exclusion zéro ; seule la motivation des personnes à la recherche d'emploi est demandée, qui se fait selon leurs préférences professionnelles. Cette approche a fait ses preuves outre atlantique au travers de nombreuses études. Une étude a plus récemment évalué son application en Europe, mais aucune encore en France. Depuis 2017, une équipe IPS a été expérimentée à Tours en collaboration avec une structure médico-sociale. Objectif : Notre étude a pour objectif d'évaluer les premiers résultats de l'équipe IPS de Tours Matériel et Méthode : Une analyse descriptive de la population ayant bénéficié d'un suivi avec IPS a été réalisée, ainsi qu'une comparaison de groupe avec un groupe contrôle ayant bénéficié d'une prise en charge standard en hôpital de jour. Nous avons recherché les facteurs pouvant influencer l'accès à l'emploi des personnes suivies par l'équipe IPS. Résultats : 42 personnes ont été accompagnées par la méthode IPS dont 29 depuis au moins un an. 48% de personnes accompagnées par IPS ont travaillé au moins un jour à 12 mois, 74% à 18 mois et 90% à 24 mois. Seul le niveau d'étude semble avoir influencé l'accès à l'emploi à 12 mois. Le retour à l'emploi n'a pas entraîné d'augmentation du nombre et des jours d'hospitalisation à 12 mois. Conclusion : Les premiers résultats obtenus après un an semblent compatibles avec les données de littérature actuelle et encouragent dans la poursuite de l'expérimentation et dans le développement de ce modèle.
