L'objectif de cette revue de la littérature était d'effectuer une synthèse sur l'utilisation du composite préchauffé pour l'assemblage des restaurations adhésives collés (RAC) en composite ou en céramique. Cette technique semble être une alternative intéressante aux colles conventionnelles. En effet, afin de faciliter les procédures, certains auteurs ont proposé de détourner l'usage habituelle des résines composites, communément utilisées pour les restaurations directes. Plusieurs questions émergent alors sur les qualités esthétiques et mécaniques du joint de collage obtenu avec cette résine pré-chauffé lors de l'assemblage de restaurations indirectes. La recherche bibliographique menée sur PubMed et Sciencedirect s'est intéressée aux publications parues entre 2005 et 2021. Au total, 27 études ont été incluses pour cette étude. Pour les études in vitro, le degré de conversion, la stabilité colorimétrique, l'épaisseur de film, l'adhérence, les propriétés mécaniques et les propriétés biologiques ont été analysées. Pour les études in vivo les taux de survie et de succès ont été pris en compte. Les études in vitro ont montré une supériorité du composite préchauffé pour les propriétés mécaniques et la stabilité colorimétrique. En revanche, l'épaisseur de film et le degré de conversion étaient meilleurs pour les colles témoins. Les matériaux étudiés ne montraient pas de différences en termes de valeurs d'adhérence et ne provoquaient pas davantage d'échauffement pulpaire. Le taux de survie des restaurations collées au composite préchauffé observées dans les études in vivo était semblable ou légèrement supérieur aux colles conventionnelles. En conclusion, l'utilisation du composite préchauffé semble être intéressante pour le collage en secteur esthétique au travers de faibles épaisseurs de RAC. Cependant, des études complémentaires sont à mener pour explorer les autres propriétés de ces composites sous des épaisseurs de céramique ou de composite plus importantes.
