L’impact d’une chute peut s’entendre dans la trajectoire de vie du sujet âgé comme un vécu de perte. Elle révèle souvent à la personne l’image d’un autre corps. La chute est du fait de contraintes extérieures en lien avec une altération des capacités psychomotrices de la personne, auxquelles s’ajoute bien souvent un facteur précipitant. Au-delà d’une perte d’équilibre de la personne, la chute vient aussi parler de la perte de ses capacités, de son élan vital, de son identité.
