L’amélioration de la fiabilité humaine est une préoccupation forte dans le secteur de la production industrielle. En effet, les facteurs humains sont des éléments centraux et indispensables au fonctionnement d’une entreprise mais sont par définition faillibles. Depuis des décennies, des études pédagogiques, cognitives, psychologiques ou encore ergonomiques ont été menées et ont conduit à l’élaboration de plusieurs axes d’amélioration de la fiabilité humaine. D’une part, les facteurs internes relatifs au fonctionnement cognitif humain doivent être connus pour comprendre et anticiper les comportements des individus lors de la réalisation d’une tâche. D’autre part, les conditions externes d’ordre organisationnel et structurel doivent être maitrisés afin de prévenir et limiter les occurrences d’erreurs humaines. Au sein des entreprises, différentes méthodes et programmes inspirés de ces études sont ainsi mis en place afin de garantir la fiabilité et la sécurité des produits et des processus. Ce travail présente dans un premier temps, les différents paramètres régissant la production d’erreurs humaines. Dans un second temps, un exemple concret de programme de compréhension, d’analyse, de prévention et de réduction d’erreurs mis en place au sein d’une entreprise pharmaceutique sera présenté. La finalité de ce travail est donc de transmettre quelques notions et conseils pratiques afin d’élaborer un savoir sur la fiabilité humaine et d’aider les professionnels dans la démarche de gestion des erreurs humaines.

Thickening Fat: Fat Bodies, Intersectionality, and Social Justice seeks to explore the multiple, variable, and embodied experiences of fat oppression and fat activisms. Moving beyond an analysis of fat oppression as singular, this book will aim to unpack the volatility of fat—the mutability of fat embodiments as they correlate with other embodied subjectivities, and the threshold where fat begins to be reviled, celebrated, or amended. In addition, Thickening Fat explores the full range of intersectional and liminal analyses that push beyond the simple addition of two or more subjectivities, looking instead at the complex alchemy of layered and unstable markers of difference and privilege. Cognizant that the concept of intersectionality has been filled out in a plurality of ways, Thickening Fat poses critical questions around how to render analysis of fatness intersectional and to thicken up intersectionality, where intersectionality is attenuated to the shifting and composite and material dimensions to identity, rather than reduced to an “add difference and stir” approach. In 1941 the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of diethylstilbestrol (DES), the first synthetic chemical to be marketed as an estrogen and one of the first to be identified as a hormone disruptor—a chemical that mimics hormones. Although researchers knew that DES caused cancer and disrupted sexual development, doctors prescribed it for millions of women, initially for menopause and then for miscarriage, while farmers gave cattle the hormone to promote rapid weight gain.
