Rumors as old as time Not true in the least But then a beauty goes Snipping at a rose Knocked Up by the… ~*~ Innocent good girl Evie Belle would rather be at home reading her favorite steamy romance novel. Unfortunately, her sister is too busy loudly gossiping about the hunky Hunter brothers with her friend. Which is the only reason Evie stumbled into her father’s workshop (for some peace and quiet) and found out that he owes a whole lot of money to a shady loan shark. This, and only this, is the reason why she snuck into the Infinity Gardens to steal one of the highly sought after roses. It should pay off her father’s debts and then some. The reason why she stayed the night with a distinct lack of clothing and panties nowhere to be found? A cursed prince may have taken offense to her pilfering his prized roses and allowed her to repay him with her nubile body, claiming her as his own, hard and unprotected…

Book Description
Anna has never dealt with change well. When Anna losses her Master, she panics and shifts into her cat form, hiding in her animal mind because she doesn't have to deal with grief if she's a cat. Except nobody tells the werewolf who had been tasked with taking care of her that she's not actually a cat. It's not bad, being treated like an animal, though. He feeds her and pets her. Maybe she could just stay like this forever. Except she's human too and she has needs that has nothing to do with food and shelter. When she takes her human form, she surprises the Werewolf Alpha with her pale skin and cat ears and long, perfect tail. He thought there was something wrong with him for being so drawn to the small kitten he has inherited from his father. When he sees her shift to her human form, he finally understands why the Wolf in him desires her so viscerally. ~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~ She is mostly asleep when she hears a familiar voice at the door that follows a confused Shadow. The old woman marches in with all the wrath of an avenging god. Or in this case, a pissed off caretaker. Master Monty's primary caregiver is a terrifying woman and keeps order around the house with an iron fist. She must have been so sad when she came back from her son's graduation and found out that Master Monty had died in her absence. "Melissa? What're you doing here?" Shadow sounds uncertain for the first time since she's been here. "How did you get in?" he continues, completely flummoxed. "The staff tell me that you took Anna with you," Melissa says and her ears perk up at the sound of her name. "Where is she?" Louder, she calls out, "Anna? Anna, darling. Where are you?" Melissa has a sweet spot for her. The older woman practically raised her. She's neither wolf nor cat. Her animal is a bear and she sorts of looks like one, though Anna was never brave enough to say it to her face. Melissa is as big as one, tall and broad with fat and muscle in equal parts and talks with an undertone of 'I can break your bones with my bare hands' that makes the animal side of her tremble and want to hide far, far away. But Melissa has always been kind to her. "It was in the will. She's important to the old man, I gather?" Shadow is attempting to make himself sound less surprised by the unexpected visit and get a hold of himself, but Anna can hear his heartbeat and he is a little scared. She wonders if Melissa raised him too. "Where is she?" Melissa doesn't wait for an answer, sniffing the air and following her nose until she is looking down at Anna, curled up inside of her little cage. "Mreowl," she whines up at the older woman, who lets out an outraged roar that echoes through the room and makes the walls vibrate. She wonders if the walls would crumble from the sheer power in her roar, but they only shake a little, holding firm. Anna has never seen Melissa shift before. She bends over and grabs her cage by the sides and breaks it apart like it's made of paper. It shatters, the fragments falling into her eyes. She closes her eyes and curls her tail around herself. "What're you doing, Melissa?!" Shadow is behind her. Melissa ignores him and shrinks back into her form. "Darling, how long have you been in there?" she asks, her voice softer than Anna has ever heard her before. "Come here, darling. You poor thing. Come here." She mewls and stumbles into Melissa's open arms, shifting as she unfurls from her little corner and she hears Shadow's sharp intake of breath. He backs away, eyes wide with shock. "I didn't know- I didn't know she's-" he starts but Melissa's rumbling purr drowns away whatever else he has to say. Anna hides her face in the larger woman's chest, finding comfort in her warmth. She feels safe here. Her arms and legs ache from being shifted for so long and it is nice to have fingers and toes again.

Book Description
Rehabilitation has always been hard for Jason, even if he is the best in his line of work. His superior says because he's too soft for it, but he knows the real reason why. It's because he likes it too much, he likes when they send him the broken ones, the shifters that have been conditioned to be treated like the animals inside them. It is only natural for someone in his profession to be handed the hardest cases. When he starts reading about Anna in the papers, how the poor shifter has ears and a tail like a cat and has forgotten most of what it means to be human, he knows it is only a matter of time until she is handed to him. What they don't know is that Anna is exactly what he wants in a mate and he has no desire to change anything about her. ~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~ He's sure he has the trust part of the exercise down. She is comfortable enough with him that she doesn't even pause when he turns his back to her in his quest to get his own meal. It doesn't take her long at all to demolish her own meal, finishing it up and then settling on her knees, licking the back of her hand to wipe her face. He takes his time with his own meal, taking bites of the deliberately underdone steak and licking up the blood before it can drip down his chin. She crawls closer to him on the table, tail wagging curiously behind her, ears perked back. He wonders if she has to beg for scraps this way during her captivity. She makes a soft inquiring noise that garners his attention. "Yes, Kitten?" he asks, looking up. Then, he chuckles. She has mayonnaise smeared over her chin and cheek, pieces of salmon stuck on her nose. "Look at you," he says, pinching her chin between his forefinger and thumb and tilting her head up. "You've made such a mess of yourself, Kitten." He draws her forward without thinking and licks over her cheek and chin, cleaning her up the way wolves do, the flat of his tongue running over her cheek and closed eye. She tastes sweet, the mayo clinging to her skin, with an undertone of her own sweet scent and the clean taste of the salad side dish his chef had prepared for her. She leans into his touch eagerly, purring as he grooms her with his tongue. "There you go," he says, wiping his own saliva from her cheek fondly. He's going about this all the wrong ways deliberately, encouraging her animal instincts by piling his own on top of it. Tomorrow, he thinks to himself. He will start the program tomorrow. Today, he will enjoy having her like this, mostly human with a mind that is more animal. She crawls off the table once he is done with grooming her face and curls up at his feet, smelling heavily of contentment.

Book Description
Eight years ago, readers were invited to accompany Maurice Locksley on his rounds, as he paid court to his wife, his ex-wife, and his mistress in dizzying succession. The Marriage Hearse, his account of that wild winter’s night, was judged “one of the funniest, smartest, and most generous novels about marriage from a male point of view.” (Phyllis Rose, The Nation) Now, eight years older in The Alibi Breakfast, Locksley is still “laugh-out-loud funny” (Bloomsbury Review) but not nearly so cocky as he contemplates the possibility that his riches are reduced to a single woman—or is it even worse than that? Duberstein’s prose is as rich, precise, and allusive as ever; the people in his “house” are as real as the people in your house (terrifying thought), and he weaves the varied strands of plot into a tale of rare depth and integrity.
