Book Description
A much-overlooked aspect of the Gospel of Matthew is the theme of heaven and earth. Rather than being a reverential circumlocution for God, ‘heaven’ in Matthew is part of a highly developed discourse of heaven and earth language. Matthew’s idiolectic way of using heaven language consists of four aspects: 1) a distinction in meaning between singular and plural forms of ouranos; 2) frequent use of the heaven and earth word pair; 3) regular reference to the Father in heaven; and 4) the recurrent use of the Matthean expression, kingdom of heaven. This book examines the historical precedents for each of these aspects and shows in Matthew how they serve one overriding theological purpose: to highlight the tension that currently exists between heaven and earth or God and humanity, while looking forward to its eschatological resolution.

Book Description
While spending almost a year in retreat at the Abbey of Tamie, Jean-Franois Baudoz, a biblical scholar, was inspired to write this spiritual journey. Far from presenting a collection of "pious pieces of advice," this journey proposes to restore our inner unity, by focusing on the figure of Christ, the very core of our growth in faith and yet often remote from our concerns. With Christ draws from three sources: daily life with its joys, its rifts, and its times of transition; the Rule of Saint Benedict, centered on the hearing and welcoming of God's Word; and finally the Gospel and the words of Jesus. Could it be that the man from Nazareth, followed step by step, from the desert to Jerusalem, from the parables to the silence of the cross, is the one to open for us an authentic inner truth?

Book Description
Contrary to the prevailing view that βασιλεία is a verbal noun signifying God’s rule, this study demonstrates how the term’s pragmatic range in Matthew’s Gospel covers both five distinct types of use and their integration into a coherent concept. The study, which is the first to examine all occurrences of βασιλεία in the First Gospel from the perspective of semantic monosemy, extends and enhances our appreciation of the Matthean Zentralbegriff, and engenders a more accurate apprehension of the nature and aims of the Matthean narrative and the theological views it conveys.

Book Description
Free-Will Choice: The Story contains some hard truths that may be difficult for some people to accept. However, free-will choice has been God’s plan since before the creation of the physical heavens and earth. This book is an illumination of what may be considered new truth and a fresh presentation of who God is. The book spans the time period from before Genesis all the way to Revelation, during which it argues that free-will choice has always been in God’s mind since the creation of His most majestic being, the Son of the Morning, now known as Satan. What is the true story of God’s plan for humankind throughout history? Because of God’s foreknowledge, did He intentionally predestine unbelieving humans to spiritual death? What is the real truth?
