Book Description
There is more about David's personal life than anyone in the Bible - he is the most real, passionate, bawdy man in all of scripture. Outside of Jesus, there is no one in all of scripture with more information and insight into a person's heart intentions and motivations than David. This is no polished view of a man, but a ragged-edged reality in which we see humanness and manliness being formed with much coarseness - a spiritual earthiness of a man who is full of emotion and honesty.

Book Description
“What is at stake is authenticity. . . . Sooner or later Christians tire of public meetings that are profoundly inauthentic, regardless of how well (or poorly) arranged, directed, performed. We long to meet, corporately, with the living and majestic God and to offer him the praise that is his due.”—D. A. CarsonWorship is a hot topic, but the ways that Christians from different traditions view it vary greatly. What is worship? More important, what does it look like in action, both in our corporate gatherings and in our daily lives? These concerns—the blending of principle and practice—are what Worship by the Book addresses.Cutting through cultural clichés, D. A. Carson, Mark Ashton, Kent Hughes, and Timothy Keller explore, respectively:· Worship Under the Word· Following in Cranmer’s Footsteps· Free Church Worship: The Challenge of Freedom· Reformed Worship in the Global City “This is not a comprehensive theology of worship,” writes Carson. “Still less is it a sociological analysis of current trends or a minister’s manual chockfull of ‘how to’ instructions.” Rather, this book offers pastors, other congregational leaders, and seminary students a thought-provoking biblical theology of worship, followed by a look at how three very different traditions of churchmanship might move from this theological base to a better understanding of corporate worship. Running the gamut from biblical theology to historical assessment all the way to sample service sheets, Worship by the Book shows how local churches in diverse traditions can foster corporate worship that is God-honoring, Word-revering, heartfelt, and historically and culturally informed.

Book Description
Connecting with the Spirit of God in worship is fundamental to the life of the believer, and yet, so many Christians never experience the power of the Spirit in worship- and as a result, never experience the natural outflow of the Spirit of God: miracles, healing, restoration, empowerment, strength and so much more. Why? What can we do to make sure that our connection to the Holy Spirit is unbreakable? What role does worship play? For what purposes did God create worship? Where do I fit in? Why don't I feel Him more? If you can't answer each of these questions with confidence, this book is for you. We want to connect with the Spirit of God in worship. More importantly, God wants to connect with YOU. There are tremendous, life-changing benefits to worship in "spirit and truth"- but understanding what that means, how to use worship in all aspects of your life and what the enemy will do to break your connection with God is paramount. If you desire more of God; if you've been standing in faith for revival in your life; if you've been believing for miracles; if you're not sensing His presence in your life or seeing the manifestation of answers in prayer- start here! If the Bible is your sword, worship is your arrow. The Christian life is full of battles and victories, but you have been equipped with *every* weapon you need- now, learn how to use them!

Book Description
God seeks true worshipers. But what is true worship? Is it a style of music? Is it a certain posture? Or is it much more than that? "There must be more to it than this!" These words echoed in my mind as I searched for the real meaning of worship, in spirit and in truth. The result of that tireless search is the book you now hold in your hands: The Journey of a Worshiper. This journey changed my life, and I pray it changes yours. You will find in this book the characteristics of a true worshiper, based on the story of the father of faith, Abraham. You will discover the fundamental truths that the Word of God reveals about true worship and the unique qualities that will transform you into a true worshiper. Each powerful testimony, story, and Bible passage will guide you on a journey to see worship as you've never seen it before. I assure you that you will never be the same. This book is a challenge to transform us into bearers of God's glory, and as a result, you will discover the wonderful blessings that God has prepared for you. I invite you to begin this extraordinary journey today. BIOGRAPHY Louise Acevedo was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to a couple of humble Puerto Rican pastors. Her love of God and His work led her to take several positions in the church: youth leader, worship leader, Bible school superintendent, and associate pastor. She has also conducted conferences and seminars on emotional healing, intercession, and worship. When God called her to write this book, Louise was legally blind, but God insisted that she had no excuse. What Louise didn't know was that God had already arranged the platform where she would preach the book in Saint Croix, the person who would transcribe it in Puerto Rico, and the location for its launch in Miami. Even though the process was painful and took five long years, the result has been a glorious blessing to many lives. Louise's goal is to continue worshiping God and preaching His Word until our Savior's return. She lives with her husband Octavio in Florida.
