Book Description
How a movie about minor league hockey became a box office hit-and an international cult classic Even thirty-odd years after Slap Shot's release, diehard hockey fans can still recite scenes of dialogue by heart, making lines like "putting on the foil" just common argot for the devoted. Yet many may be surprised to learn that the true story behind the making of the film is as captivating as the film itself. In The Making of Slap Shot, veteran sports writer Jonathon Jackson lets fans not only relive just how the film was made, but brings to light surprising facts (i.e., Al Pacino was the first choice for the role of Reggie Dunlop; almost every scene-even the absurd and unbelievable ones-depicts a real life event). With access to those involved in the making of the film, he brings to life some of the magic behind the creation of memorable scenes and characters, especially the Charleston Chiefs, one of the most popular fictional sports teams in history. Based on interviews with over 50 cast members, production staff, and anyone of note involved in the film's creation Destined to be a collectible and keepsake (along with the jerseys, bobbleheads, and other paraphernalia associated with the film), The Making of Slapshot is a must for fans eager to learn even more about their favorite film.

Book Description
Survive; that is the sole mission of the USC’s last colony fleet. Ensure that the remnants of humanity and its Vaxian allies can rebuild and live. While they still dream of peace hidden away from their Demzerai executioners. Forced to land upon the alien world of Tallagen, Colonization Fleet Epsilon has forged a new home over the last 175 cycles. Everyday citizens huddled behind the safety of the cities’ barriers and holographic skies overhead, gladly embracing the illusion of utopia. However, peace is merely a word mentioned in the halls of the senate, while outside the barriers death and the constant threat of war are as sure as the sun rises. But now whispers of deception have begun to unfold. Greed, desperation, and the lust for power threaten to consume not only the colonies but Tallagen itself.

Book Description
Expect No Help' is a non-fiction novel that depicts America from the 1960's up to now through the eyes of someone who was there...and still is...sometimes. It shows most anyone who reads this how to grow up (author's point of view), even coming up in the 60's and 70's. Much change happened from then till now...with the word change now reduced to a 4-letter word...along with the word power. This novel is all about the future of this country at the grass-roots level. That means 'old school America' ain't goin` anywhere soon...if at all! However, this novel looks at 'new school America' with only slight skeptisism, only for the fact...change makes the world go `round. Without change, the world turns stagnant. However, once again,"What do you want to change into?" This novel does a pretty good job in trying to decipher that question, leaving no stone unturned...with an open-minded and also a one-sided opinion. That is not easy to do. There is absolutely no 'political correctless' what-so-ever in this novel and could be considered toxic to people with narrow-minded beliefs. This novel don't care...but with tact. It is written somewhat off of the streets in a language that anyone...from a stoner to a P.H.D can understand. The very first part of the book vaguely states what the novel is all about and if that's gunna be a rough ride for you...wear a helmut while reading it or find something else to do.
