Book Description
Neuro-imaginative gestalting (NIG) is a systemic method, developed for individual therapy by Eva Madelung, that can be used in counselling, self-help and group work. The novel integration of techniques from art therapy into the systemic process encourages therapeutic creativity and individual self-exploration. In a practical section, Barbara Innecken describes the therapeutic aspects of the method and uses case studies to elaborate her points. This material can be applied immediately by the experienced systemic therapist, but therapists-in-training and those of other theoretical orientations will find step-by-step instructions for practical use in individual therapy. Instructions for self-help complement the presentation. In the theoretical section of the book, points of contact and possibilities for mutual exchange and enrichment from constructivist oriented methods, such as NLP, De Shazer short-term therapy and Heidelberger family therapy, as well as the phenomenological-oriented family constellation therapy of Bert Hellinger, are described. In short, the book combines proven therapeutic practice with extensive theoretical background and contributes to the integration of family constellation therapy within other therapeutic methods.

Book Description
"Inner Constellations is the first published book of photography by Italian-born artist Maïmouna Guerresi, whose iconic, figurative photographs are celebrated around the world, both for their beauty and their melding of diverse cultural and religious influences. Raised in Catholic Italy, Maïmouna traveled to Senegal in 1991 and was so taken by the country's spiritual traditions that she converted to Islam. Since this spiritual transformation, Maïmouna's work has become infused with the rich history and iconography of Islam, with a particular emphasis on Sufi philosophy, which contends that all of the world's religions originate from a single divine source. From this place of universal respect and understanding, Maïmouna borrows freely from the symbols and mythology of the world's great religious traditions, blending elements of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity together in photographs that transcend the sum of their parts. In all of her photographs, Maïmouna treats the human body as sacred dwelling place, "the temple of the soul." In particular, she celebrates the divine power of the feminine form in places where women have historically been marginalized. Many of her female subjects are transformed into powerful symbols of the feminine divine, altars to the most primordial act of creativity. Draping her figures in exquisite, sculptural garments, many of which the artist creates by hand in collaboration with her subjects, Maïmouna references universal archetypes, as well as specific religious rituals. These sources are present in the various elements of her photograms, from the towering minaret-hats she crafts, to the gentle strength in the subjects' symbolically painted faces. The photographs in this book are related to each other without becoming redundant; some feature cavernous, veiled spaces of emptiness fabricated from black cloth, others draw attention to the presence of everyday objects within the frame"--Publisher's description.

Book Description
The increasing output-oriented effectivity and regulatory power of socio-economic structures fail to meet human potentials for personal, social and political unfolding. Targeting the patterns of behaviour that underlie these structures, the author investigates in possibilities for transformation that arise from the awareness of needs within the political subject. What can this awareness mean and what are possible ways to foster awareness of own needs? The author gives a critical overview of different understandings of needs and connects it to practical aspects, leading towards an own approach of doing what we have to do, in order to be who we are.

Book Description
ABOUT THE BOOK The Constellation Approach -- Finding Peace Through Your Family Lineage is the culmination of Jamy and Peter Faust's brave and innovative healing work over the past twenty years. Together and individually, they have helped hundreds of people heal emotional wounds rooted in many varieties of trauma, neglect, loss, and longstanding family loyalties. Inspired by the teachings of Bert Hellinger, the Constellation Approach combines the practical wisdom of healing traditions from both East and West with the Fausts' signature understanding of the Soul's journey. As they carefully guide us to uncover the sources of unresolved and often long-hidden conflicts, a path to inner peace emerges. The journey they invite us to embark upon will not only change forever the way we understand the dynamics of our families, but it will also expand and deepen our experience of authentic love. This book reimagines our conflict-ridden world gradually but boldly transformed by peace -- one family at a time. Book Description
A reconstruction of the Chinese sky of two thousand years ago, based on analysis of the first star catalogue in China and other sources. Presented in six well-sized star maps for 100 BC, it is especially important for the history of astronomy. The Han sky, with five times more constellations than Ptolemy knew, reflects diverse human activities. The way in which constellations were grouped discloses a systematic cosmology, uniting universe and the state. The work of the three Han schools is comparable to Ptolemy's Almagest. With three detailed Appendices on the constellations of the three schools, well illustrated to demonstrate the relation between sky and human society, this book is valuable not only for astronomy historians and sinologists, but in general for scholars interested in the ancient cultures of Asia.
